I love this store! I go here every time I find myself in Exeter, which isn't terribly often, but when I do, I come here! Not only do they have some very cute antiques the store itself is highly photogenic! The two people who run it are so incredibly kind and sweet, so much so, they may give you cavities lol So, next your in Exeter, stop on by! I'm sure they'd love to welcome you to their shop! PS, there is a VERY sweet shop cat. Couldn't find a price on the cat though...lol read more

There are few antique shops I would recommend more highly. Extensively curated, a must see for antique lovers passing through Exeter, which has an abundance of great antique stores to begin with. Has one of the best kitchen collections I've seen in the Valley- rolling pins, egg beaters, stoneware. Prices are a little higher, but the sheer size and variety of venders makes it worth the trip. read more

Love this place! Rooms and rooms full of antiques. The front house and back house hold many treasures. My mom and I have been coming here for years. At Christmas, they have apple cider and home made treats. Always great service and experience. read more

I'm pretty sure Christmas exploded in this store - they have SO many decorations for you to choose from! I came here the weekend after Thanksgiving and this store was already in full holiday spirit. They even have free little treats and hot cider for you to enjoy while you walk around and find things you never knew you needed until now. They had a lot of kitchen gadgets, old signs, and other household items too. I really liked that the whole family seemed to be working at the store too. If you're ever in Exeter, even if it's only for an hour or two, stop by and take a look around! read more

Charming and quaint little place. The place doesn't look cluttered or like a hoarder's place. Neat and clean. A bit on the pricey side but got tons of selections. The old guy is very friendly and helpful. They have cookies and coffee which is a nice touch. Feels homey! read more

We were just there for a quick weekend getaway. We always stop at BY THE WATER TOWER ANTIQUE STORE!! This place has a little something for everyone!! It's a great mix. You will need a couple hours to get through both front and back!! It is decorated beautifully!! I ALWAYS find something I have not seen anywhere else when it comes to Halloween decorations!! One of my favorite antique/collectible shops in the central valley for the last 40 years. Lots of little treasures here, kitchen, farm, old industrial, garden and decorative antiques. Nice folks run this place. You want to stock your Hoosier cabinet with proper kitchen antiques? This is the place to come. You need to complete your set of Ben Hur spice can collection....they've got it. Antique tools, toys, adverts and paper ephemera as well. Prices going up, however, (on some things), buts that probably because yipsters, hipsters and yuppies from LA and SF have been discovering my haunts in the last ten years or so. Buts BTWT is a must see, must visit place when you're in this part of California. read more

This is one of my favorite antiques stores. One of the rooms has the largest collection of primative kitchen tools that I've ever seen! I can spend hours in there. These folks have quality antiques--not just recycled yard sale stuff. It is worth the trip to Exeter. read more

Like most places it is sectioned off by each vendor renting the space. Even with my handy fan in my hand I sweated profusely through as many sections that I could before we had to take off to the Sequoia's. I found some great fun finds to bring home with me. The customer service was friendly and helpful. I would definitely make a stop again when passing by!

I made the trek and the florist was very condescending. Maybe we have higher standards in Orange County, where I am from, but when your husband spends $70 + on what turns out to be a skimpy arrangement, you expect for the little amount of flowers on there be pretty. Buy your flowers from the local corner guy instead of Exeter flowers. You'll probably get better quality at a lower price.

There is a big barn, a full victorian house and a cottage on the property that are stocked to the brim with wonderful finds. Punch this address in and head on out (there is no sign from the road) and look for the big huge old estate gates - Jim and his wife are rarely away and the shop is open from noon-to-five every day. We always head to the barn first, after parking under the big trees, and scour through the best of his wrought iron hardware and industrial tables and signs. Afterwards we head to the big victorian house at the front of the property and dig through the painted furniture and hand picked gift and decorative items. Go upstairs to find beautiful beds and quilts - truly a treasure of a property. And Jim and his wife can't be beat - what amazing eyes for quality!
