I live in Ocala Florida and was unsuccessful finding a place to fix a zipper on my leather jacket and sew on military patches. Luckily, I found Byrd's in Daytona Beach. I called the Saturday prior and asked regarding the possibility of getting it done and they said to bring it in. Turns out they are located at the Flea Market/Swap Meet, but we managed to find them pretty easily. The lady who assisted us was great! She ensured I was happy with the placement of my patches and even recentered one on her own. They fixed the zipper lining and had the patches done very quickly. Unfortunately, we already had plans to go antiquing, but will have to stop back by and look around everything, especially their store, as they have so many leather pieces, holsters and patches. I must mention they also had their two children working as well, who were very efficient themselves and earning their pay. I cannot for the life of me understand how they handle so many customers, so quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend you stop on by, as their customer service and costs are on point! read more

Byrd's is my go-to shop for all my leather needs. When I first started coming here this store was much smaller, like a pop-up leather shop you see during Bike Week. Now it is a massive store probably the biggest one at the Daytona flea market and in the area. I've been a customer of Byrd's since about 2010. I purchased a beautiful brown leather Milwaukee Jacket from them, a leather vest, leather wallets, gloves, belts, patches utility holsters and bags, scrap leather pieces, and more; all still functional to this day. Steve has performed multiple sewing repairs for my boots, chaps, vests, and most recently my wife's purse straps. Steve has also replaced rivets and snap buttons for us in the past. Byrd's has a enormous selection of leather belts, buckles, leather hats, gloves, boots, chaps, jackets, vests, purses, bags, leather motorcycle traveling bags and panniers, wallets and even make custom gun holsters. It's amazing that there is so much variety here, you really just need to see it and experience the store yourself to truly understand. The staff are super friendly and will help you find exactly what you need. If they don't have it they can get it or make it. I love watching the team fit a customer for a belt for their first time; it's almost a right of passage to have a belt of your choosing property fitted to you with one of their many beautiful buckles or one of your own if requested. Pricing is comparable with other leather shops I've been to; however, Byrd's will stand behind anything you purchase from them. I've never been charged to fix something I have purchased from them only leather products from other vendors, which says a lot about them. All-n-all if you're looking for quality leather products from a team of people who have over 40 years in the Leather trade than go to Byrd's, you won't be disappointed. read more

I can't believe nobody has put a review on this place yet. The leather shop has been in the flea market for likely over a decade. It is the best place to come and get leather products. If you need anything sound adjusted modified or custom made this is a place to come. A massive selection of jackets, boots, hats, belts, holsters and everything else that might include leather. An absolute must stop if you're looking for anything with a leather product. The only downside Friday to Sunday flea market hours. read more
