Many different German bakery breakfast options, and not too expensive at that. Also a nice selection of cake slices. Location is nearly always busy, and larger groups will struggle to get enough place. The only reason it gets a 4 from me is for the door ofen being open, including during the cold Dresden Winter months, meaning that sitting near the front requires a coat.

It was the afternoon and we were in need of some coffee and delicious cake. The place is fairly small and it was quite packed but we did get to manage to find a small table. Our server stopped by quickly and we got some Latte and apple juice of the kids. We all go to choose some cake. I got myself a real Dresdener Eierschecke and my mom got some Apple Crumb Cake. The kids got some fresh made cookies. The Eierschecke was one of the best ones, I have ever had. My son is a very very picky eater but he ate more than half of my cake, because it was so delicious. The prices are pretty standard. Great little place and awesome variety of home made fresh cakes, cookies and buns. It's also just a couple feet from the Schwebebahn, so the location is perfect.

But the vibe -- oh, the vibe. Warm, twinkly, Christmas everywhere. It's like stepping into a holiday postcard. Ambience is a 5-star win. And then the Green Vault Stollen swoops in like a hero.
