It had been there for a couple…read moremonths, before I ventured in to peek around, wary from most all previous life experiences with sporty/outdoorsy stores. I was surprised. It was different. A mecca of own-brand + nice branded items for all sorts of athletic pursuits from walking and running to cycling, yoga, all sorts of sportsball apparatus, etc. for women, men, & children. It's a bit like a Lidl, but nicer, for sporty stuff. When shopping for a helmet and lock for my new foray into biking in the city, the cycling department staff were really helpful and kind. Even though I had lots of questions, they happily helped. Each department seems to have knowledgeable staff. Prices here are great. Very affordable and incredibly competitive. The store is quite big, spread over 2 floors. My only complaint is the checkout staff seem to always be aloof and the opposite of the helpful staff from the rest of the store. But, apart from that, I think this shop is a keeper.

Gap is renowned for it's 'staple' items of clothing such as chino's, jeans, everyday tops and sweatshirts, however they also have trendy 'in season' ranges which fly off the rails. This bright, airy store also has ample changing rooms, meaning you never need to wait long to try, and if something doesn't fit, you can ring the assistant who will find you the correct size. Rest assured, this store will comfortably fill any 'Gaps' in your wardrobe.

There are two reasons why I am not their ideal customer: First, I am not a fan of pink - this colour does not exist in my wardrobe, secondly is it really worth spending over £60 for a pair of track suit? Maybe after completing my legs, bum and tum class I want to show off in some well fitted shorts this summer...

At the end of the ski season, my sister and I hit Blacks, looking for ski gear. We're not slaves to the latest styles and are quite happy to be a season out of date fashion-wise. Otherwise, I find it so hard to pay such a huge amount of money for things like a ski jacket, which I'll only wear for one week or at most 2 weeks a year. There is also lots of stuff for walking, hikers, climbers and campers.

I went in there to spend money and could'nt believe how standoffish and rude the little man who worked in there was. I explained what my friend had bought, understandably they did'nt have the colour Nude in there because of the season, but i asked to look at their sample chart and described the trousers my friend had bought. He replied "Are you sure she bought them in here?", then he asked for her name to find her on the system, which he could'nt. I mentioned she bought them for £1100 and he replied" No way", shaking his head and if i was lying. I said they were retailed at £1400 but she asked what the best possible price she could have, and got them for £1100, He then said"well she was a very lucky girl". He was very rude, obnoxious, unfriendly and unhelpful, as if he did'nt need/want the business. I think if you cant be friendly and helpful to customers, then don't work in Customer Service. I walked out of the shop and told my friend. We will not be returning again, and will definately not recommend to anyone! Theres no need for rudeness!!!

They have alot of womens, mens and childrens running clothing along with a really large range of sporty food items i.e energy gel, which looks like a thick blue capri sun. They have waterbottles, pens etc. They have lots of specialist equiptment for sporty people, such as Lacrosse sticks - i dont know how much they are meant to cost, but these were more than £100! There ate woggles, swimming cotumes and goggles. They had gum guards, hockey stick tape and lots of hockey sticks. They had a few PE kit bags, but maybe should have a few more. My favourite thing about the shop is the display of the running man.
