The layout is a bit cramped and gray on the inside, but the reporting is pretty good, especially if you're into cars. I picked up a July edition for free while I was waiting to be served at a restaurant and enjoyed a package of stories and lots of photos on the centennial of the Model T. They also ran stories about what's new at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year, the exhibit of an amphibious vehicle that, like a James Bond creation, can drive on land or double as a motorboat and other automotive news specific to the greater Detroit area. Detroit might not be the automotive giant that it was in its heyday, but the Detroit Auto Scene showcases the fact that there's still interesting auto news coming out of the Motor City.

I've been coming here for years for their paperback selection. I've found a lot of old, classic…read morechildren's books from series like Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew over the years. The books are not super organized , but it has always been worth it because it's like a treasure hunt for classic, older fiction of all kinds. This store has one caveat however: it's main business seems to be porn and adult magazines. The last time I went in, the adult stuff was in the back of the store and you could ignore it. But for many years it was front and center and the book finds were in the side area, so I had to walk thru to get to my treasure hunt. If you're looking for adult stuff, he's got a lot, mostly magazines, it looked like. I can't comment on the selection, just that there was a lot of different stuff. Lol

There is also vintage clothes and housewares throughout the store. There is some vintage Detroit swag in the cases. Be sure to check out the amazing Detroit techno T-shirts & Polish/Hamtramck tees on the rack- I assume made in house.
