At 80 years old, this was a hard endeavor for me. But when the 3 painters came the first morning, they set my mind at ease. It was like 3 angels came in and made everything okay. They laid tarps on all the floors, explained what they were going to do and set my mind at ease. Their kindness and patience with me was very much appreciated. Aside from this, their painting was beautiful and professional. Pictures were taken of the area to be painted. They moved what needed to be moved then returned to the same place according to their photo. Nothing broken and all handled with gentle respect. Everyday before they left, it was total cleanup. Leaving my home livable until they returned the next morning. I can't say enough good things about my experience and how easy it turned out to be. Greg and Chris did outstanding work throughout the painting process. They took a great deal of care in removing the cabinet doors and drawer faces and moving them outside for sanding and painting. They paid a lot of attention in keeping the dust to a minimum while working on the frames inside the kitchen and keeping the work area in general neat and orderly. We are very impressed with the quality of the finish on the cabinets. They really do look like new with a factory pain job. Excellent quality work. I was able to meet Ryan early on in the process, he is truly a wonderful man - family man and business owner. The finishes were pre-planned with the model home we chose, love the details - granite countertops, rounded corners, high ceilings, crown molding, recessed lighting, under the cabinet lighting in the kitchen, and the list goes on. :) We did up grade the flooring - hardwood throughout, tankless water heater and gas range! Everything came together fabulously! I was so excited when we did the walk through to find that Ryan heard me in our brief conversation, when I said I prefer gray tones over brown! My walls are grayish white and the granite has more gray tones than brown!! It was like I picked it myself :) VC Custom Homes is incredible, if you are looking to buy one of their models or build a custom home the construction is top notch - the sub-contractors do a fantastic job. Geoff, the on-site Forman is absolutely amazing, his eye for detail and knowledge of construction is impressive! As with any new construction, we have had a few minor issues - a small blemish on the master shower wall, sub contractor came out last week and it is like is was never there - one of our deadbolts did not lock properly, Geoff came over immediately and replaced it with a temporary lock- the sub contractor came out within a few days to replace it. All of this could not be possible without the fabulous, wonderful customer care - Kim and Shannon in the office! I have spoken to Kim several times she is super sweet and helpful! She has gone above and beyond for me, helping me get these minor issues repaired. Overall, if you want to have a fabulous home building experience VC Custom Homes is it!
