Our contract states that he only needed "50% deposit upfront ($1500) and the other half upon delivery of appraisal". Now I am having to take him to court because he won't send me the appraisal unless I give him another $1,000+. I have attached my communication with Randy Cyr, the business owner, who confirms he only requires half upfront yet won't provide the appraisal I paid for. Most his email is nonsense but the agreement is quite clear.

I live very close to downtown Greenville for reference. He looked at my tree for less than a minute and said it was herbicide that damaged it. I thought, great, now we have a root cause. Let's come to a solution. Instead, Randy decided I should sue the landscaping company for damage. He said their insurance will settle out of court. I won't sue when there's no proof they caused the issue. I won't sue when there's no proof they caused the issue. It's a small business that does yard work for me once a year. I just wanted a cost-effective solution. Randy became irate and angrily told me to cut the tree down when he heard this. I asked him to please take it down a few notches, or this conversation was over. I called him looking for ways that I can save my tree, steps that I can take. After more discussion, it was decided he needed to leave and not return. I'm not sure why he was angered the moment he arrived. Maybe he got lost, stuck in traffic, or didn't have his coffee. Regardless, he has zero customer service skills. I wasted money on his trip fee and now have to find someone else to help me. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else but this very grumpy person.
