We love this neighborhood market in Yachats! We vacation here every year and appreciate this market and it's wide variety of items. They even have good quality produce! We needed some snacks to stock our beach house rental and this was a one stop shopping store. Their prices are a little high compared to the chain grocery stores, but that's not surprising. We don't mind paying a little more in quaint small towns. We prefer the peaceful, low traffic areas of the Oregon Coast. Employees are always friendly and helpful here. Their private parking lot has plenty of parking available. The store is clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend. read more

What a quaint little market in town! We come up to Yachats every year and this place has done a nice job expanding selection and offering more options (vegan, gf, etc) since last year. While at a beach stay in Yachats over Christmas break, we found that we had forgotten some ingredients for a few meals. We were very thankful for this great little store. They have a wide variety of groceries and non-groceries alike. And they were even open the day after Christmas (a Tuesday) when MANY places in this small town were closed (understandably). The only place in Yachats to grab a few grocery related items. We purchased beer, water and snacks. It fit our needs so we were happy.

Lovely Community market. Everything you'd need as a resident or an out-of-towner. Strongly suggest using this community store for your provisioning and for those items you remember once you get here. Nice little market with a good selection. Yes, it is more expensive as are ALL small-town markets. If you want Walmart prices go to Newport and shop at Walmart. We frequently shop at this market when we are in town. It is clean and has a helpful staff. read more

Pro tip: if you pull into Yachats at lunchtime and you don't want to wait an hour for a table at a restaurant where you'll blow $30 per person for the meal, drop in on the C & K for some palatable grab-and-go sandwiches and drinks, then head a couple of blocks over to the Yachats State Park and eat your lunch on a bench overlooking the ocean. I love this store. For a small town grocery it has a lot, including organic food. Sure, it's not Freddie's or Walmart but for the size of the town it's good and the staff are friendly. Prices are what you would expect from the only grocery in a small town. read more

Pretty much the only market for grocery shopping in Yachats. I was very impressed with the friendly cashiers. We fumbled with bags, etc. due to COVID and each of the two times we visited they were so kind to us. They have a good selection of grocery items we needed to supply our vacation rental for a couple of days. It's pricey, but that's to be expected in a small community. read more

The only grocery store in Yachats with food-food, so prepare to pay the cost for that (not saying its bad, just prepare!) They have pretty much everything you can imagine you may need or forgot like we did: Charcoal briquettes, lighter fluid, s'more stuff Batteries Hot deli items like chicken strips and corn dogs, rotisserie chickens Fresh muffins Popcorn Tea Crackers Beer Ice cream, brie, yogurt Produce (including Organic) Soda fountain Chips Things they do not have: Wrapping paper (try another shop in town) Very friendly and helpful staff, albeit very busy on weekends and holidays. We definitely made some visits to this store during our week stay. The parking lot is a little tricky because the tourists use it to visit other shops around the area. read more

This store is obviously not cheap since it is in a small town. However, they do have sale items here and there. I tend to buy some groceries here when I am not buying a whole lot. Why you may ask, it is closer than having to drive all the way to Newport for a few items. Their customer service is exceptional , except for a few outliers who may feel uncomfortable serving people(or have yet to acquire people skills). Overall, the ladies and gentleman that I've have had an interaction with to find certain items are nice, smiling and provided a great experience for me. They sell food that has been made (e.g burritos), fruits, veggies, snacks, beer, toothpaste etc. Oh, one of the managers actually reached out to me inquiring about a survey I took pertaining to a hot sauce I was looking for. She asked me if I'd like for them to carry the item and I said if they can but if not it's not a big deal. The fact that the manager took the time to follow up with me showed that they care to make sure their customer's experience a good one. How can someone compare this small grocery to wal-mart or any other big companies. They have the resources to ship items all over and small town grocery stores do not. Prices to make a convenient stone blush with envy! The prices gave us heart attacks and we live on the Oregon coast! I absolutely hate giving one star reviews but this review is a PSA warning! If you are not willing to pay double/triple the money for items you would normally pay elsewhere, walk out as we did. We refuse to allow our wallet to be held hostage. We drove back south, 18 miles, to Florence Fred Meyers for a much better selection and prices. read more

The prices here were hard to believe. I though I was in a foreign country. For example : Starbucks coffee, 12 oz, Columbia, ground $11.35. Most cereals were in excess of $5. Really? Also, The selection was not especially good or up-to-date. I was hoping to find a little bit of kefir, but couldn't seem to find any. I decided the next day I would go up to Waldport and discovered that, unfortunately, all the prices are the same. Same owners, I'm guessing. So the grocery market in Yachats/Waldport area is ripe for disruption if you know what I mean. I'm looking forward to the day when Amazon can drone me my groceries when I visit the coast so I don't have to pay twice what I pay at Safeway. read more

Not too impressed with this grocery store. It's a local store. The store needs some repairs. But the store does have what you need and the staff needs some improvements with their customer service. The prices is higher than the typical grocery store like Safeway, Lucky's or Albertson. But with being in a 2 grocery town, I'm not surprised. read more

Though the prices are a bit high here compared to the Walmart up in Waldport I really like the people who work here. We went crabbing and came home with a lot of crab, but we didn't know the best way to prepare it. While shopping we asked several employees and they give us a lot of good advice. I am certainly willing to give my business to companies who add a personal touch like this. read more

I've got a volunteer offer for c&k market from Newport high schools ecel program. The staff here are always happy and ready to help. I've been hired, and worked here for about 10 months or so. A lot of people say we slack off, well it is far from that. We each get different break hours due to scheduling, and prices I believe go by weight or name brand if I am not mistaken. TJ Saunders is my boss, and is a very great manager. This may not be rays, but it sure feels like a family store. I show up to work happy, and all of my work mates always say hello, and goodbye. I've never had so much fun working. A lot of employees at other work environments complain. We don't here. Overall it feels like home. And highly recommend C&K Market for smaller purchases. Staff here were really nice and personable. Sale items (lots of them) were just as cheap as at bigger supermarket chains and while non-sale items might be a bit more expensive, the convenience and friendly staff make it worth doing your shopping here if you are staying in the area. read more

Prices are very high and the frozen food all has freezer burn and full of ice. I picked up a pack of frozen sausages and the box was full of ice. I can see charging a premium for being convenient but this place is over the top. read more
