C&M Roofing installed a new roof on my home in Milton, DE using all GAF roofing products in 2024. The installation included a power roof vent. In less than one year, the motor in the power roof vent failed. I have emailed them, called, texted and mailed a letter. No response. Unsure if they are still in business but I would not use C&M Roofing to do any work on my house. Their roofing warranty is worthless. Got our house completely new siding with Hardy plank, new soffit, gutters. One of the windows was bad so they replaced that too. Overall Mike and his team was awesome, our house looks way better and they were really responsive sending us photos the entire time. I hired C & M to replace a roof on a shed. They did the job in a timely manner. However 1. They damaged a window shutter on the shed. I notified the office, but the company has not responded. 2. They attempted to replace deck boards with what looked like misc. blanks they had laying around. 3. They used gray roofing shingles when I told them I wanted tan or brown. Again, left over from another job? 4. They left small pieces of plastic all over the yard. Warning: Think of everything that can go wrong and put it in the contract. read more

Communication is not great! All through the roofing process there was no Communication. One of the roofers stepped through our roof and into our master bedroom closet. Never mentioned this happened. Went into our closet and insulation was all over the place and a foot size hole in our ceiling. They came back to do the repair but not when they said then showed up early without a notice. Communication??? They also forgot to caulk our roof vents and we had a roof leak. They painted kilz and now our ceiling needs repainting. read more

When a large tree fell on our house in Berlin, MD we contacted several contractors to give us estimates and to discuss what repairs were needed. C & M sent Bernard out to talk to us ang give us an estimate. Bernard was friendly, proffesional, knowledge and easy to talk to. We decided to use C & M to perform the needed work which included structural repairs as well as shingle replacement on the entire roof. The crew that came out to do the work was friendly and hardworking. They did a great job cleaning up the yard when the work was completed. Lastly, I want to mention Cinthia the Office Manager. She was great to work with and promptly responded to all of our questions. Overall, C & M exceeded our expectations. read more

Needed a minor repair to my roof and this is a company with a relationship to my HOA. If you have a similar situation, beware of the consequences. They rescheduled the work without my knowledge, showed up and completed it while I was out of town, and then sent me an invoice that I did not receive the first time so they proceeded to charge a late fee. This review really is pertaining to the service level, or lack there of, that I received, and not necessarily the repair. When it is regarding your own home, that is often as important as the repair itself. I was very disappointed in their lack of being flexible and working with ME, the actual homeowner, as their client. read more

Originally contacted this company on August 15, 2019 for an estimate to reaffix three shingles that had come off the roof. They stated they would be out the next day to give an estimate. Contacted them AGAIN on August 22, 2019 because no one had contacted us despite the previous promise to come out the very next day. We received an estimate of $(enter outrageous quote here) to hammer down three shingles which are down near the gutterline. The quote itself was totally generic, offered no details of how they had reached the proposed amount. I doubt they ever even went out to the house and looked at it. Outrageous yes, but we called the estimator the same day and left a message for an explanation of why the estimate was so high. No return call. I emailed their office on August 25, 2019 to have the estimator call us. On August 26, 2019 the office emailed me that they would have the estimator call us. To date we have not gotten one call, nor has their office emailed me to see if the estimator contacted us. Needless to say, we are getting another roofing company to fix the problem. TOTALLY Disorganized! Literally left hand and right hand have no clue what the other is doing. Non responsive. Air heads answering the phone with more Bullshit than Carter has little pills. A leaky roof they installed by these people less than a year ago. Set an appointment, no show. Asked why and they didn't know who I was. Inquired again and they said they were coming out for an estimate. This was warranty work. Project manager claimed to have lost a text I sent to him less than 5 days previous. Finally arrived and found the issue but didn't stay to fix it. Left saying they would come back Saturday which initially was not convenient but I wrote and said it was okay. No fringing response , this is totally irritating. Called late in the day as there was no response from them. They answered and said they couldn't come Saturday. Told them Monday but never gave a time. An absolute hap hazard operation leaving there actual work as questionable. I wouldn't recommend these people to do a damm thing. I have to right now and hopefully wont have to again. read more

We purchased a house in Lewes that needed a new roof. The lender and the insurance company wanted the new roof installed immediately, at soon as the house closed. We live far away so we had to interact with the roofing companies from across the country. The seller's realtor sent a quote. We spoke to the contractor. Just unimpressed. He said we could buy a 1 year guarantee from him, oh on second thought he would throw it in. So we called 4 other roofers for bids. One guy said we can get you a bid in a couple of weeks. Another could give us the bid, and did, about 10 days later. That left us with 2 companies. Bayside Exterior and C&M. The first to get out and do the bid. C&M. The best price for the job. C&M. The most thorough explanation of what was available. C&M. Their bid for the lowest level roof was right in the middle. Their bid for the highest quality roof was close to Bayside's but they gave us a 10 year guarantee. So we signed with them with a little trepidation because you should never use price as the only reason to go with a company. The job they did was fantastic. The whole experience was fantastic. They arrived every day on time, the same guys. It was obvious that it was a construction team and not just some random workers. They cleaned up during and after their work every day. We have had remodeling done three times on our house in CA and every day we had to clean up. Nope never had that problem with C&M. The team was courteous, quiet, considerate, fastidious and they worked hard - all day long. It is a BIG roof. They did the tear down and replacement in 10 days. They did additional repairs & the cost was never a surprise. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. I have a maintenance company that does work on a monthly basis and they were impressed by the quality of the work and the professional standard of the employees. So much so that they referred some of their customer to C&M. Neighbors came by and they were impressed. I cannot say enough good things about this company and we have done a great deal of remodeling. Was everything perfect? Of course not. My list of gripes? They parked in front of my garage door two times but moved within minutes of me asking. I wanted to pay in full before I left but they would not let me. That was a bit of a headache but their office was as great as their roofers when we had a problem. I hope the guys read this review and know that we have never been happier with a contractor. If only our other jobs had gone so smoothly. And I would post pictures if I was not technically inept. But I would give C&M 6 stars if I could. read more
