They had done…read morethe original installation for the previous owner so it made sense to hire them as this is a weekend home for us. I met with Mike and explained our expectations. We agreed on a weekly fee for a mow and blow service - everything else was extra. The first few months went well and we had them replace some shrubs. They also did some much needed pruning that we paid for. Things really went off track this spring. The grass wasn't looking good, sprinklers weren't working and extra stuff was being ignored. However he certainly didn't feel bad about raising his rates by 18% after only 3 months. I called and talked to Mike repeatedly about my concerns. I know they were extra busy because of all the rain last winter, but frankly our property was being ignored. Mike finally admitted that he had not personally been to our property in over 5 months, despite my concerns. At that point I realized the only thing important to Mike was the $175 we were paying him weekly for two guys to spend 45 minutes at my property. Needless to say I terminated our relationship on that telephone call. Mike did tell me that he doesn't like to service residential customers - I wish he would have told me that up front! To top everything off, we came home this week with two sick dogs and I discover the plants he planted in our backyard last fall are poisonous to dogs. I'm not sure if that is what made them sick, but he should have known something as important as this. This is the primary reason I wrote this review.
