I have never been to such a cool surf store. This place has everything you need, they even have…read morerentals so you don't even need to bring your surfboard with you when you travel to this wonderful city. This is my favorite small city in the world and the people are so nice and the food is excellent. The staff at the store are fantastic, very caring and sweet and they really know their stuff. This store literally has everything you need. Wetsuits, surfboards, surf apparel, surfboard fins, hats, sunblock, shoes, sandals, wetsuits, watches, sunglasses! I can go on and on. Not only do they have everything they have a lot of it. The selection is incredible. This is the first surf store in Spain. It opened in 1980. I was blown away by it.

I wandered in to this gallery after Gayle and I finished up our Pintxos crawl (our last stop being Gastro 148 across the street). At the time of my visit, Ekain Arte Lanak emphasized various paintings, although I found a very nice wood sculpture that I happily purchased. I had a nice visit and sales experience with Rita.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this shop in San Sebastian. I bought a bag that was…read moresupposed to come with accessories. While I was looking at the bag, the saleswoman already tried to hide the accessories when I indicated that I wanted to buy it. I noticed this and asked her to put the accessories back in the bag. I paid for the bag, only to find out the next day--just before my flight back home--that she had taken the accessories out of the bag during checkout anyway and apparently kept them for herself. Unfortunately, I feel very cheated, especially since she seemed so friendly in the shop. Beware of these practices.

Awesome shoes, helpful staff, and a salon on site as well that seemed to do a nice job; the woman I saw getting her hair cut left with a great 'do. It's pricey but they have great things and it is a relaxing, unhurried, uncluttered shopping environment.
