We were experiencing intermittent flooding in our kitchen & utility room lined to rain and when our washing machine drained.
Visit 1 - Initially told that it had to be a fresh water pipe crack, which made no sense as the flooding was not constant. Eventually convinced the engineer to actually inspect the drainage where a small blockage was removed. System not tested, engineer left, problem immediately returned.
Visit 2, the following day - CCTV camera put into the pipe, material observed in the pipe, incorrectly diagnosed as a cracked pipe. No further testing conducted, engineer took details to pass on to "The Dig Team", CCTV survey and remedial works were supposedly required and they would be in touch within 24 hours.
24 hours later, no contact, so employed a third party to attend the following day. They used a much higher quality camera and could see that our cracked pipe was in fact just limescale and grease build-up at the junction of our kitchen drainage into the main line. Used a high pressure jet to clean the system out, fully tested the drainage afterwards, pipework in perfect condition, problem solved!
Complained to CE Walton (trading as Dyno-Rod in the Birmingham area), demanding a refund and monies to cover the subsequent work we were forced to take due to them not responding in a reasonable timeframe. They haven't understood the complaint, are unwilling to cover the costs of their poor workmanship and the matter is now with Trading Standards.
Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest score I can give, it doesn't do justice to the poor company and pathetic customer services that are tarnishing the Dyno-rod name. read more
