They exploited my elderly step mum living on her own…read more The toilet flush was constantly running. Concerned not knowing somebody she looked in the local free paper and found right on heating and plumbing thinking it was a local company. First hours charge was £150 plus VAT. The plumber came out said it was an only cistern, said he needed to travel to Derby for the parts (from Ripley) which was not required. He completely bodged it with the flat screw under the push button. Total charge £530! These people exploit the vulnerable.

I had a leak from the stop tap in the kitchen and found this company through a local magazine -…read morevery misleading as I discovered later that they were not local to me at all but based in Birmingham, despite calling a local number. The engineer arrived a couple of days later (despite initially being booked in for the same day) and in less than a minute refused to undertake any work as he said he could not gain enough access to do the job saying "I don't do cupboards" - he took longer to park his van!. Despite this, I was still charged over £160 for a "diagnosis" - one that I had made! As the leak was getting worse, I contacted another plumber who came out within a couple of hours and fixed the issue promptly and without any issues. Despite asking for a refund from Rightio as absolutely no work was carried out, I had to wait over 2 weeks for a reply to emails and phone calls and have finally been refused a refund, with the company saying they always challenge any action taken against them - sounds like a regular occurrence. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - if you take the time to read the reviews, you will see that they are like a rash all over the internet - even appearing on national TV on The One Show!

I just thought id put an update to highlight an example of why Clive is so good…read more Earlier this year he fitted our house with a wireless thermostat. Obviously the heating hasnt come on until recently. Ive been at home this week and noticed that it was REALLY COLD in the afternoons. When i looked at the thermostat i could see that it said it was 'on' and the controls under the boiler also said that the CH was on but the boiler wasnt firing up. I rang and spoke to Cliv's wife who was brilliant and talked me through the basics but couldnt help further - she said that she'd speak to Clive and get him to ring me when he got in later after 7pm. Clive rang me just after 7 and said that maybe someone (mentioning no names but he's male and lives with me) had changed the settings on the original thermostat (which is still in place to govern when the hot water comes on). Sure enough these settings had been changed which were affecting the wireless thermostat. No charge, just awesome service. I cant recommend this chap highly enough!

Got this plumber jan round to look at pulsar coil electric boiler,…read moreseemed to be over heating and no green light on. His advertised as pulsar coil engineer can fix 80% of boilers, after half hour and £50 told me don't need green light and no electric supply(which the was because it works) Told me to get electrician which I did, another £50 and Electrician told me nothing wrong with electric. Told plumber then didn't want to know. If his a pulsar coil electric engineer shouldn't he be able to deal with electric boiler. Just wants to take your money and disappear . scammer.
