Una caja de chocolates a tu gusto en un bonito envoltorio

We moved from one table to their table (since theirs was in the shade) with our already paid coffee from the next cafe which by the way we did not know they were separate as the tables were the same. We asked the waitress if we could get another coffee from her cafe but since French people have a reputation of being rude by not trying to speak in English, she may or may not have understood. Anyway, this is the first time that we ourselves have run into such rude French people. We've been in France a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. This cafe should be avoided at all cost. THIS CAFE DISCRIMINATES. Go to La Petit Moka next door instead.
Best café on the Place Carnot for the quality of food and non-touristy vibe. The upstairs is…read morequaint, if a little cramped (tall people: watch your heads). Briocherie Arpin does not have good (any?) outdoor seating, so if your goal is to sit on the square, choose another café. If, on the other hand, your goal is a delicious pastry, this is your best bet.

This morning featured more croissants and two baguettes. Here's what I like: Croissants that tear with slight resistance. Croissants that hint of an airy appearance, yet have some density inside. Baguettes that are specked with darker grains inside, A crunchy exterior that is quiet as you eat.

We have no complaint about Le Petit Moka but have massive issue with the BRIOCHERIE ARPIN which was next to them. We were asked to leave the table we transferred (because it was shaded) to even though we said we'd order from them. The worst part is that the the server did not understand what we said even though we tried it in our broken French. She insisted we leave. Then an older guy stood next to our table and stared at us making himself known that we need to comply. What a f'ng JERK. We stood up and bought a bottled water at Le Petit Moka and left a massive tip to our waitress while the old guy was watching. If he is related to the rude waitress, then she just lost a week's wage tip from us. Go to LE PETIT MOKA. Do not go to Briocherie Arpin.
