I wanted to love this spot because I saw the other reviews, and I didn't love it, I did like it but not love it and hear me out why. Easy to place an order online for pickup and Tia pretty convenient and efficient. The line can be long depending on when you go hence instead of waiting in line we just placed an order through their website and it was ready in less than 10 mins. No seating inside, which isn't bad, so know that this is a to go spot. Food 2.5 - 2.7 stars Now onto the food, I love Ube, and I love croissants, so when I found out they bakery offers both in one I had to try it. The part I am disappointed about is that their fillings inside the croissants is very little (like you have to dig around to find it, that was a bummer). I tried their kaya croissant as well as their Ube croissant, tried their guava mochi cake (same filing was nonexistent), Ube choux (the only item that had reasonable filling). Thankfully none of the items were too sweet, but I wish they didn't cheap out on the filling as I think that would elevate the flavor from a 2.5 to 5 stars; and this spot will get a lot more business. Because the filling isn't sweet, but its needed to balance the croissants (otherwise anyone can get plain croissants at other bakeries where they have the best buttery croissants- doing this will lead to a better competitive advantage) parking is a nightmare in this location that requires patience (I did not deduct any stars for this, this is more of an fyi and not the business's fault). CA Bakehouse is a takeout-only bakery offering a selection of baked goods with a variety of Asian flavors like ube, pandan, durian, and more. Me and my friend weren't able to find parking until many many circles around, so I ended up dropping her off. I would also recommend ordering ahead of time for an easy pick-up! Coming to CA Bakehouse has recently gotten me very obsessed with anything ube or pandan related. This bakehouse is an asian themed bakery with lots of unique pastries to choose from. I decided to get a pandan custard croissant, an ube custard croissant, a guava mochi cake, pandan chiffon cake, and a pandan waffle. You order at a little table in the front; you're not actually able to go into the store itself but you can still get a whiff of the delicious smells and see all the pastries beautifully displayed in their cases. The pandan waffle is made to order and comes out hot and fresh. My family tore into this in the car and it was a big hit - nicely chewy with a hint of sweetness. We then had the rest of the pastries over the next few days. The custard in the croissants was so creamy and sweet, paired with the flaky, buttery croissant laters. The chiffon cake was just a tad sweet from the pandan with a nice, spongy texture. My favorite was the mochi cake - it had the typical dense chewiness of the mochi but with the tart, sweetness of the guava center which paired perfectly with the cake itself. I loveee cream puffs, eclairs, and anything similar with a custardy cream filling; and the choux here are amazing! Especially the durian one - it's the best. Shocking cause I'm usually NOT a durian fan! The durian choux is just so fragrant, mixed with the nice custard cream flavor. Yum! I've also tried the kaya, hojicha, and ube choux. All are good, but none can compare to the durian. The guava mochi cake had a nice chewy mochi cake texture, but it didn't particularly stand out. In a large complex where there are many options, CA Bakehouse had a line up outside. That tells you that it must be delicious. They have an interesting ordering system where you don't go inside, but they take an order in the doorway and then bring it out to you. I was full after dim sum nearby so I didn't order anything myself but I took a bite of my friend's pandan waffle which was delicious, and a bite of another friend's egg tart which was amazing. Both were served warm, almost felt right out of the oven. The egg tart just melted in my mouth! There's no place to sit inside, so you can take things to go.
