Being a comic fan I was ecstatic that there was a comic store in one of the cities we spent time in. I ended up purchasing two books, one for my nephew and one for my niece. I can't wait to give them their books because they are super cute. CAB Comics is full of awesome comics, some nerdy shirts and everything you could want in a comic/tabletop hobby store. If I'm ever in Flagstaff again I can definitely see myself coming back. read more

I've always loved supporting local gaming stores, until I came to cab comics. They have a good selection of comics and manga. They also have a decent selection of TCG products like deck boxes, card sleeves, and some card games. I asked him if he'd ever have any One Piece Card game, since target barely has it across the street. He told me that it was too much a gamble and he wouldn't make any money. If he did his research he'd know that One Piece is probably one biggest fan base of fiction. If I want to play this game in person I have to drive 2 and a half to 3 hours down to Phoenix. I'd rather support local businesses than corporations, but because the owner didn't want to gamble, I've spent about 2k at target, Hot topic, and GameStop. I know I'm not the only one in flagstaff who like the one piece card game. I'm not the only one buying the packs. Just wish all games were included in this shop, instead the only games in there are the ones to make the owner would like to make money from. read more

yeah yeah! CAB COMICS! I started out just buying comics but then I moved into table top games! Cory knows the products he sells... cause... he sold me on a few! then a few months later... I was introduced to Magic the Gathering... haha, it's an awesome/addiction! I met some pretty cool people at the weekly Friday Night Magic events. Cab comics is a fantastic place to hang out, play games, and keep up on the latest comics. Hell, it's the only real comic book store in Flagstaff, doesn't get much better than that. With an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff it's by far the best place to go if you're already into comics or table-top games and is even better if you're new to it all and looking for a place to start. Every Saturday a group of my friends and I go there to play Heroclix and hang out talking nerd-banter and I love it. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already. After a slightly disappointing visit to The Geekery across the street, a quick yelp check and phone call got me to CAB Comics. It was very important that the shop had comics for kids (ages 5-12) because I had the kids who were on the last leg of our roadtrip, and they needed a distraction. They did, and the kids and hubby were able to find a few things they were looking for. Nice shop. Pretty good selection of comics up on the wall, although not a huge section of back issues (and for some reason, LOTS and LOTS of Spiderman back issues!). Flagstaff FINALLY got what it needed! After being spoiled by a comic-filled childhood in Tempe, my fears quickly became reality when I moved to Flagstaff three years ago without a comic shop in sight. Luckily, Cab Comics opened its doors, and I felt that same vibe once again! Cab Comics reminds me of all the best parts of Atomic Comics (Amazing service, people always hanging out, game nights) without the worst parts of "other" comic shops around the Valley (rude employees, cramped store, smell...). I mostly go to play Magic and buy my weekly comics, so I'll focus more on those areas. The weekly Magic tournaments are fun, fairly laid-back, but still competitive. Cab's selection of singles across all formats is phenomenal in both price and variety. I really can't stress any more about how awesome this place is for Magic. It might not be the "Pro oasis" like Pop Culture Paradise down in the Valley, but that's not really what Flagstaff is about, is it? As for buying comics, every week I get an email notifying me that there are new comics in my box. You can set up your pull list in-store or online, the owner pulls them out, slaps them on the counter, and you walk away with what you need. The key to selling comics is to have them in the first place, and Cab has never disappointed me when I've already reserved something. It's a fantastic place. Five stars all the way. read more

Well, we walked in and they never addressed us. The only time they talked to us is when I asked to use their Wi-Fi while my husband shopped. It must be a good place though because he spent an hour here and found lots of books that he was looking for. From husband: Large selection of trade paperbacks, the latest in monthlies but most of the floorspace was devoted to games. Today, I'll back issues were 20% off. I guess that's a black Friday deal. I like to stop in stores when I travel, just to check them out. It's usually hit and miss. This place was nice, tucked in an old strip mall sandwiched between a Mexican and Chinese restaurant with just a small sign that said "Comics" our front. We were greeted with a big smile by the owner when we walked in. There was a group playing D&D in the back. The store itself was a lot of comics, some games, and a few tables in back with white board advertisements for nightly Magic and Yu-Gi-O games. They had the standard wall of new releases, current back issues, and trades, and a good variety of well organized back issues. All in good shape and priced affordably. With a cliquey group of regulars and poor lighting, Cab Comics can look intimidating at first - Indeed, every time I've come here, it feels like the other patrons are scrutinizing my every move. However, all is not lost at Cab Comics! The store features Flagstaff's largest comic book inventory, including a number of local artists (always a nice touch), and a fairly comprehensive D&D and Pathfinder library. Hero Clix is another well-stocked game, and they sell dice as well. If you're looking for comics, D&D products, or Hero Clix, Cab Comics is the place to come, but it's not really a great place to socialize unless you're already a member of the inner circle of regulars. Cab Comics is exactly what a comic shop should be. It's an establishment made for, and owned by people who truly love comics. They have made a real effort towards building a community within the store. It is very common to see people hanging out in the store playing games or just having a chat. Their game night on Fridays seem to be a huge success. I get about 20 titles per month, and they are very good at getting me all the titles that I want to check out. If they don't carry it in the store they will order it. Recently I had to go to Kentucky for 2 months for work and they actually shipped my comics out to me!(Now THAT is service!) Pretty unorganized and zero customer service. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, the worker behind the counter ignored me the entire time I was in the store. There was a heroclix tournament going on in the back of the store, but I was the only customer in the front comic section. New books were disheveled, and recent back issues on the opposite wall were a mess and completely unorganized. Disappointing! read more

It's good to see comic stores around still. Had to drive an hour to get here, but totally worth it. Found almost everything I was looking for. They were friendly and helpful. Once I ordered a board game here, and paid almost twice the price of what I would have just getting it off Amazon. So some words of advice: check the interwebs before purchasing one of the table-top games (probably good advice for any of these kinds of stores). But I've been here a few times now; on the quiet days the atmosphere is comfortable and they have a great selection in comics! It's easy to get lost browsing, and it's one of our best shops in Flag to scratch that geeky itch. I know they also run a few tournaments which can get big. But if you're not there to compete/spectate, I'd suggest skipping the store for that day. The air can go the opposite way of fragrant pretty fast, and suddenly you're choking on BO and testosterone! read more

Stumbled upon this store as I was driving through town. I wasn't sure what to expect. The store itself is a fair size but strangely only half the store has comics and a very small section of graphic novels in the middle. The entire back half of the store seemed to be for playing games. I was hoping for more of a selection than what was there. read more

Very small store, but a good place for smash tournaments and it's nice to look at the comics in the back too! They have really cute pins and keychains that are at the front of the store, lots of merchandise for different geeks all over the place! The yoohoo milk there was okay, seemed kinda weird tasting. This is a great place to get comics, but that is about it. The sad truth is that they try (and fail) at everything related to magic.
