The website is terribly unwieldy. Totally dysfunctional. Our family of 5 was separated and forced to pay for 2 taxis in order to return to the train station from Highclere Castle. We were told the problem was ours because we didn't choose the right size vehicle. HOWEVER, the only option on their website was "any size". The drop down didn't allow for anything else. And their archaic website has no designation for the number of persons in a party, or i would have gladly provided that information. Attempts to address the issue with Cabco were rebuffed. DO NOT USE CABCO!!! Once again their driver failed to turn up and this time left my daughter and a friend stranded in a very remote location. They called the call center and were fobbed off, made to send prooof of payment, which they did and still they were left stranded. read more

Absolutely saved me tonight. I was driving from Barry (South Wales) to West Sussex, and around half way, near Membury Services. Late at night I was involved in an accident. When the recovery came, they dropped me off at Membury Eastbound and took my crashed car away. Thankfully, around 11pm, I was able to arrange a taxi to Sussex with Cabco which saved me from being stranded overnight. The drivers name is Abdullah and he was ext nice and helpful! read more

Unfortunately people at CabcoNewbury seem unable to follow basic instruction. After clearly booking a 7 seater for our party of 6 a 5 seater turns up costing me twice as much in fees. When I called the office to complain I was greeted by a very rude receptionist who told me that it was my fault. By far the worst service I have ever recieved and in hindsight I would rather have walked the 3 miles home An absolute joke read more

I have frequently used cabco (at least once a week) for the past 5 years. I have found their service can be very hit or miss. Usually the office staff are friendly however on numerous times they can be very rude to you (one lady in particular). Most of the drivers are very nice but sadly there's quite a high percentage that won't speak a single word to you (not even tell you how much the fare is) or over half are very rude if you use them for shorter than average distances or if you use a card to pay. If you ever phone the office to make a complaint for any reason they are extremely rude and no matter what the reason is for the complaint they always make it out that it's the customers fault. I have found that there are much better taxi companies out there which has caused me to change after all this time. Will not use cabco in the future again read more

Dreadful company, unreliable and the way in which we were treated and spoken to beggers belief. Waited over two hours for a taxi and if you dare ring up to check the operator puts the phone down and cancels your cab. I believe this is the normal telephone experience that you can expect. They would do so much better if they were honest and polite and employed peeps on the phone who know how to offer good customer care. read more

Absolutely fraudulent... booked a taxi through their Apple app and when the taxi turned up and 5 mins into the journey I was told there was a £12 call out charge. This was not detailed in the app, nor the confirmation. The driver old me to call the office which I did and the rude lady in the office took great glee in telling me she had never used the app nor was she responsible for it. When I asked who was she said no-one... I strongly recommended no-one ever uses this company. If I could give less than one star I would! I have contacted West Berkshire council about misrepresenting the service. read more

Have used twice before and been late both times so should have known better than to try them again last night when they couldn't even bother to turn up at all !!! Worst taxi service ever, I get a taxi 6 time per week with Cabco at at least £60 per week, that's about £3k per year but when waiting at the Vineyard for a taxi back people who are in Newbury for a random even get told 45 minutes yet I get told an hour and a half...,time to find a new taxi company read more

I cannot recommend using Cabco at any time whenever there is a large event taking place within the Newbury area. We were advised that the taxi may be a little late due to demand, which is perfectly acceptable however I do not believe that it is acceptable to make customers wait at least 1 hour 20 mins in the cold for their taxi, without some sort of communication or update. Despite calling them several times for updates, my calls appeared to be ignored or were just not picked up. Appalling customer service! In the end my parents (who are pensioners) and I caught a taxi by queuing up in the taxi rank. We will NEVER use CABCO again. read more
