    VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER
    John C.

I would absolutely recommend this location. Yesterday I dropped in to try and find a good secure case for my podcast/video equipment. I was looking aimlessly through the store when I was approached by Alec, a member of the Hunting Team. I told him what my goal was and he walked me over to another section and showed me a case that fit my needs flawlessly. The fact that this man went above and beyond what most non-commissioned associates would do made me take the time to write this review. Thank you very much Alec for helping me find a solution to the problem I was having. And thank you Cabela's management for knowing how to hire quality people that take CUSTOMER SERVICE seriously. Alec te presents for your company very well!! I would hire that guy to sell real estate with me in a New York minute!! I will definitely be back.

I am very sad to downgrade my review for Cabela's. Things have drastically changed at this location since the company was bought out by Bass Pro. My favorite thing, the bargain cave, no longer exists. While they did still have some seasonal clearance, it was awkwardly placed in the middle of existing aisles in several different areas. Not everything was even properly marked down. I literally had to chase down an employee for a question, which was disappointing. When I was ready to check out, none of the lanes were open which led me to customer service instead. When I approached the customer service desk, there were 5 people standing around, none of which greeted me. They were chatting and I literally had to interrupt them to ask if they could check me out as no lanes were open in the regular checkout area. They then proceeded to make excuses for people being at lunch instead of just helping me. When someone finally did, he continued to talk to someone else as he did. I asked him to apply my rewards card, but he claimed he had already passed the option for that so I would have to call the 1800 number later to have my purchase applied. While things were clean and organized, customer care and quality of some items carried has drastically changed. Deals here aren't as good as they used to be. There is still a nice selection of dog items.

Staff were all wearing masks. Store had some pretty solid sales. The staff was attentive to what I needed. The only fault in today's visit was the amount of people in the store. I am not sure they were limiting how many people coming in, but I did appreciate one of the employees was present at the front entrance to pass out masks to any customers that did not have one.

Great selections, wonderful service. Knowledgeable people in every area. They followed all rules and laws for firearms.

It was a wonderful local shop outfitted for paddling, camping, hiking, and climbing. I was very impressed with the book selection and the friendly staff. I'll definitely be a regular here - and I hope it will encourage me to do some more local outdoorsy things. It seems like there's quite a community for paddling - either by canoe or kayak.

And I may go in there and just buy a bunch of other stuff! I had to call Thule's 800 number after multiple attempts to unlock my bike rack with no real assistance from the place I purchased it. The customer service representative on the phone with Thule gave me RRT's address and phone number. I called and Emily was doing her "bookwork" but she walked up front and handed the "master keys" to her sales help in the store. They seemed to be expecting me when I arrived and Dalton walked out to my car with me. As the customer service representative on the phone had told me, there is a ring of 100 keys and Dalton tried every one of the them. Luckily, we found it after almost 70 different keys but I was treated so well. They didn't have to help me, I didn't buy the Thule Bike Rack from them. But this will be the first place I go in the future! According to Dalton, they offer FREE installation! It's a nice store in Old Milford and it's apparently been there since 2010. I have been biking the trail for years and I promised Emily, no more Thule from anyone but Roads, Rivers and Trails! They ROCK!!!!!!!! They also have a lot of very attractive clothing and equipment. I will let you know after I go back to shop.

The subject of bugging out and Bug Out Bags is a popular one and for good reason, disasters like…read morehurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, flash floods or other natural disaster, could force survivors to "head for the hills" in search of safer ground. We are constantly threatened by a series of potential disasters, both natural and man-made. For someone new to being a Survivalist building your first Bug Out Bag can seem like a big task. Everybody you read about has been tweaking theirs for months or even years and has a pile of gear built up. The military load bearing system is set up in a 3 day (web gear), 5-7 day (rucksack), and a 14 day (duffle bag/footlocker). It's hard to know where to start, but if you cover all of the basics in a survival situation you will still be much better off than 99% of the people. A Bug Out Bag, (also called a BOB, Get Out of Dodge Bag, GOOD, or 72 Hour Bag) is usually designed to get you out of an emergency situation and allow you to survive self-contained for up to 3 days. A lot of people plan their Bug Out Bag to sustain them for much longer than that, but there is always a limit to what you can carry on your back and a 3 day target is a good place to start. I like how Preppers Edge has developed a complete line of Bug Out Bags that range from short or long term needs. Taking the guess work out of what to pack is of vital importance to me. I've spent countless hours of research on the web and have concluded that Preppers Edge offers the most comprehensive and well assembled bags money can buy. I wouldn't trust the survival of my family to any other brand.

The first pair, the guy at this location told me just to grab a replacement, which made me spend a few hundred on shirts because of good business practices. This time, the guy refused to honor the guarantee on the pair included in the picture. Claiming normal ware and tear on the back of the jeans clearly on the middle inseam! I told him after a year goes by, I'll stop bringing them back in. Already ordered replacement ridge pants that hopefully hold up better (not as light as Meridian unfortunately). I'm not looking for handouts, but want to get my money out of them so it's not a complete waste (I have all the colors). Now I've lost a lot of confidence in the company as a whole. I have a lot of their clothing, backpacks, and accessories. Before, I was assured that the quality is so good that they'll stand behind it. Now that they're not, the quality must be causing them too many problems to keep up with that assurance. Third picture is the size of pants compared to fresh order made a month ago. I haven't added on in size which would be a meaningful denial as well. He just kept repeating the same thing like one of my toddlers. Just doing what he's told is my guess.
