Anyway, we went to the Mayfield Grill and boy was it great! Sat at the bar "bar folk". Ladies behind the bar were great, helpful, personable, funny and on spot. We had an order of wings and ordered the bacon- chicken-ranch pizza (45 mins wait on a Saturday evening). Worth the wait! Everything was great, wings - excellent (honey hot wings were recommended, awesome!). Everything was excellent! A local watering hole where everyone knows everyone and accepted us as like ol' friends. Will definitely go back. Last week, I had the special Steak Frites , a Filet Mignon, that I ordered rare to medium rare, mentioning to Megan that I liked it bloody. However, not only did it come out early but well done! Ok, anything can happen, but the server is tasked with ASSURING that the meal is delivered as ordered. It should have been noted that it was over done and offered to be replaced. Not so. Tonight I ordered the flank steak special, again rare to medium rare. It came out medium and chewy. Furthermore, tThe Frittes were under cooked baking potatoes, not the white or gold potatoes you would expect, further under cooked and really not the twice cooked French "frites" expected. But the last insult was to have the patrons next to me delivered meal ending sorbets, while I was not so blessed. Apparently they were more important regular customers than I, although I have been their customer for more than ten years. But not likely furthermore. I am extremely disappointed.
