I love Dr. Kirkman and the two ladies who do the blood draws. The new receptionist is also very nice and the ultrasound tech we have had multiple times (can't remember her name) is amazing. But almost everyone else who I have worked with/talked to is so hard for me (Many of the nurses and PAC's). They don't take time to read the charts or they don't understand certain things so I have to retell my story everytime and it is so annoying and makes appointments a lot harder. I have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss and Dr. Kirkman has been amazing to work with. The office is HORRIBLE at returning phone calls HORRIBLE. They never call me back with lab results, I always have to call them and am usually on hold for 10+ minutes. I think they have called me back 2/10 times when they said they would and it was always at least a few days or weeks later than they said I should expect the call. The only reason we stay here is because of Dr. Kirkman. After our third miscarriage, Mickensi Paget said "like 90% of miscarriages are genetic and are just chromosomal abnormalities so if I were you guys I wouldn't even worry! Who knows, maybe next time you'll have twins." And then she said "and next pregnancy we'll have you take progesterone and baby aspirin." I told her I was taking it during that pregnancy and she said ... "oh you were? Dang. That helps almost everyone we see." That is not the time or place to say any of those things and I know a lot of miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities, but it isn't 90% of them, especially not with recurrent loss. There was no reason for her to say those things and my husband and I both felt they were very insensitive comments. I hope she can realize the effect of her words and next time stick with "I'm sorry you're going through this" or anything else then what she said. read more

Being a first time mom is a very scary thing, especially when your family is so far away. The staff and doctors here are absolutely amazing and have helped me to understand my development and be confident in myself. I have felt completely comfortable letting them be a part of my life. Doctors were nice and professional. Precare Staff is rude, slow, condescending and very unhelpfully. They treat me like my concerns are stupid and don't matter. They don't follow through on call backs and leave you waiting for days. Appointments are always 45 min behind. Lab results take at least a week to get a call from them even though the lab will give you your results in a couple hours. read more

Love this office! Beautiful office with a great staff. The drs are all wonderful. I've been through 3 pregnancies and none went totally smoothly and I was very well cared for. Dr Blackett is amazing and truly cares about her patients. Can't say enough great things about this office. read more

I have heard such great things about this office from multiple people. I also read the reviews before choosing this office. Unless you are rich, married, and have insurance dont come here. I was lectured, and felt judged and discriminated. In my first visit I brought up some concerns, because I knew something was wrong. I was rudely told I was fine. 5 days later I miscarried. I called the office with questions and every day I was told a doctor would call me. It took two weeks of me getting worse and worse for a doctor to call me, just to be treated like crap again. I will never go back or recommend. Now I have $4000 in ER bills that I feel could have been dodged had the office listened to me. I also feel like because I was no longer pregnant, I didnt matter. The funniest thing, is I wrote a review on their direct website, it was nice but I said I wasnt happy with the service. The Doctors are amazing but the problem is you have to deal with the terrorists who run their billing department. Twelve years ago, there was a misunderstanding with a $5 bill that I owed them. After some incorrect information THEY provided to me, my account was sent to collections. Once I found out I owed that measly $5, I promptly paid them. Accidents happen right?! Well now they have me on some list wherein I must pay all fees upfront then wait the 4-6 months it takes insurance to pay the clinic before I get that portion of the money back. TWELVE YEARS ago...THEIR mistake. A MISUNDERSTANDING...FIVE WHOLE DOLLARS???? I have a credit score of over 800. I NEVER miss pmts on any bills ever. Even if I have a surgery, I must pay the thousands of dollars up front. I can absolutely pay it....but I refuse to based on principle. I can't be the only one they treat like gutter trash...good luck. read more

The doctors and nurses are professional and competent and from what I can tell are really good at prenatal care and delivering babies, the facilities are beautiful and comfortable, the customer service is awful. If you are not pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or have a newborn, it is impossible to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. I have been going to CVWC since 2005 and have yet to get in for an appointment that is less than a month out from the day I was calling to schedule it, even when it is a immediate issue like an infection or necessary testing. Their office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday (last appointments start at 4pm )and 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays, minus the hour and a half lunch they take every day from 12:00 to 1:30, which makes it difficult for working women just to book an appointment, not to mention having to take a couple hours off of work to actually go to the appointment itself. Add to this the fact that I have always had to wait in the a lobby a minimum of 30 minutes (sometimes much more, one time I had to cancel an appointment after waiting an hour because my lunch break was up and I had to go back to work) before being taken back for the preliminaries and then wait in the exam room for 10 to 20 minutes for the actual doctor or PA. On one particularly appalling occasion I was going in for a particularly sensitive and emotional thing, I was grilled over the phone by a nurse who had no bedside manner when I made the appointment. Then I was sent a large packet of paperwork wherein I re-stated everything that had been discussed on the phone. Then when I came in the the office the woman at the front desk rather loudly discussed what I was there for, there were other patients within earshot. then i had to explain it all over again to the nurse to took my vitals and blood draw. Then I had to explain it AGAIN to the nurse in the exam room, at which point I was so frazzled that I burst into tears. The nurse left without saying anything to me, then the CNM came in, gave me a brief compulsory sounding apology for the staff not having more tact but proceeded to ask me to discuss this extremely sensitive issue at length AGAIN, asking all the same questions that I had answered 4 times before. Recently I tried to book an appointment for a fairly urgent urological issue I've been having and wanted to have it checked out and given a referral (if necessary) and do an annual exam at the same time. When I tried to make an appointment I had to take my lunch break at 1:30 (normally I'm required to take it from noon to 12:30) just so I could get a hold of anyone (no online appointment booking, and you can't leave a voicemail), then they told me the soonest they could get me in would be September 18th, a month away. If I wanted to be booked with the person I normally see I would have to wait until October. They wouldn't refer me to anyone else and they didn't offer to put me on a cancellation list. In short, if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a caring, thoughtful gynecologist office that doesn't ignore you if you're not pregnant, skip it. Overpriced and overrated. read more

Impersonal, expensive, long wait times, and they will not provide proper care for you or your soon-to-be-born little one. I almost lost my pregnancy because of the bad care here... there are other options that cost less and will give you better care. I love the woman's center! I went to Amy Billings before pregnancy and David Kirkman during pregnancy. They were both great and answered all my questions. Yes, the wait time is long but it's because the doctors are delivering babies! I love all the doctors and would never go anywhere else! read more

Worst experience with a doctor I've ever, ever had. I was with them for several months-- They couldn't fit me in for two months, even though I had a complicating condition, bleeding, and was dehydrated and weak from constant vomiting and nausea. I called and badgered them for 3 weeks about my complicating condition and was told every time that Dr. Blackett would "get back to me" about it. When I finally came in for the first visit, they demanded that I sign the paperwork promising I would carry them as my OB my whole pregnancy and that I'd pay them in full-- without even having talked to Dr. Blackett ONCE! When we explained we hadn't decided to use her for sure yet, and wanted to talk to her before signing the papers, we were basically SHOVED out the door. I have never been treated so impersonally in my life-- I would never entrust the life of my little one to a self-serving impersonal corporation like the Cache Valley Women's Center and Dr. Blackett.
