We wanted a quiet little getaway and had never been to medicine park we quickly found this place and booked our stay. It was so close to town, and near some great hiking! The room was large and spacious but felt so cozy and inviting- like you were stepping in to a friends house. They had a cute little s'mores set up ready to go, and a basket of snacks. The host has even included a great list of things to do and places to eat in town. We made a fire in the large fire pit out back and enjoyed our s'mores under the stars. The wrap around porch has lots of comfortable seating and ample fire wood so there's no need to bring your own. They even had s'more sticks- though we didn't bring ours as well as our kit ha the shower was so nice and the bathroom was stocked well with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, makeup wipes and bug wipes! Which I had never seen but they definitely came in handy! And I will definitely be looking to add that to our hiking gear!

I haven't stayed there personally, but I can give you the lowdown based on what I found on the property talking to the owner and some guests I ran into and joked around with. First off, the owner is a real go-getter, ambitious, always looking to expand and improve. I love that entrepreneurial spirit! It's exciting to hear about the future business ventures they have in mind. Who knows what kind of cool stuff they'll come up with next? Now, let's talk about the property and the BnBs. Apparently, so the owner and his team built everything themselves, and from what I've seen, they did an incredible job. The attention to detail is top-notch, and the interior of those tiny houses is supposedly mind-blowing. I mean, who wouldn't want to stay in a cozy little space that looks amazing? But wait, there's more! On the premises, they've got a sports bar, a cigar bar, a coffee shop, and food coming soon? That's like a one-stop shop for all your relaxation needs. You can kick back with a cold one, enjoy a fine cigar, sip on some delicious coffee, and satisfy your hunger all in one place. It's like a mini vacation wonderland! Now, here's the catch, my friend. These rooms are apparently very affordable, but you gotta be quick on the draw if you want to snag an extended stay. They fill up faster than a Conor McGregor knockout. So, if you're planning on staying a while, make sure to book early and secure your spot. It's midway between a lot of other great restaurants and bars and adventures. We first were told that our room will be ready an hour earlier then expected and then we were greeted by this beautifully outgoing and welcoming person. Her Name was Colleen and she is the owner of the bed and breakfast. She quickly told us where to park and exactly how to enjoy the amenities of her property. There was a beautiful veranda which was a wrap around porch that looked over medicine Park. We spent a lot of time on that veranda that I have pictured below. The coyote den where we stayed was more like a studio apartment. I would say it's cozy with 6 and yes the bedroom was open to the living room. There was one bed, one pull out couch, and one long couch to sleep on. She did say that she will be updating the place more and more. She even offered her couch as additional sleeping. It's a very welcoming and homey atmosphere with snacks at the table and even 2 beers in the fridge to start off. If you are younger and enjoy drinking and hanging she is more then welcome to join and have a great time. She even brought out one of her favorite bottles of scotch from Scotland. She told us of amazing trails around the wildlife refuge and even about a music festival that was going on in the city center. We cooked out on the propane grill she provided and she even had a charcoal grill as well. The breakfast she prepared for us was amazing! I could not rave about this more. She brought out normal coffee but also French press coffee. She had eggs scrambled with hatch chiles from New Mexico, biscuits and gravy, prickly pear jam, rhubarb jam (both made fresh from her garden), and bacon. Seriously I could not promote this business more. I actually kind of want to keep it a secret it's so amazing. I even included a picture of Colleen enjoying breakfast with us.

This may be America's smallest airport. Note: This is…read morereferred to as also Lawton-Ft Sill Regional Airport. I did not land here and only departed because we landed in OKC, which was cheaper than doing a whole round trip into this airport. Getting the car rental was easy, despite the current construction inside and out. I'm sure it's going to look really nice when completed. This airport's parking lot can probably fit 50 cars. One plus is that you get free parking during the first hour, so my friend was able to park and use the restroom while we went to the car rental counter. Only American Airlines flies in and out of here and there aren't multiple flights at once. If other people are in the airport, they will be on your flight. We arrived on April 20th at 3AM looking for a spot to drop the car rental. I'd thought it a better idea to drop off my mom in the front since it was raining and the doors were closed! A few minutes later, someone came and opened the doors. One of the check-in machines was not printing so I used the other. Only 2 check -in machines and the area is not big at all. We walked over to the TSA area and the gates were down! Someone informed we would not go through TSA until it was closer to boarding time, something very new for me. TSA PRECHECK: You stand in line with everyone and you get a card to keep your shoes on. Once you pass, it's like entering a small community room. All you see is all you get. It's like there's only 1 gate and that's it. There are no outlets by the seats so if you need to charge your phone, ensure your portable battery packs are charged be Within the airport gate, bathrooms are nice and clean but not a lot of stalls. Cannot speak to the bathrooms out in the general lobby area. I got "randomly" selected with a red tag so my roller luggage had to be put on the side of the entrance as we boarded the plane. I received it after we landed in Texas. I want to say at least 10 people got selected to have their suitcase "security checked". Did not get to try their cafe as it opens at 8AM and our (delayed) flight took off at 6AM. All in all, don't expect a lot from Lawton Airport and you'll be fine.

I prefer OKC's Airport, but this on is OK, I've seen worse. It was all the other things you would need and is not busy, so if you want to go to Dallas for cheap, this is a good option. There was two washers (only one worked) and three dryers (only 1 1/2 worked) The washing machine that worked was filthy dirty! Someone must have washed all their dog/cat bedding in it. The tv in the club house has no cable box, so it doesn't work. I would recommend this park for the long term "fully self contained" rv'er, not so much for the overnight traveler. Cheers
