I haven't stayed there personally, but I can give you the lowdown based on what I found on the property talking to the owner and some guests I ran into and joked around with. First off, the owner is a real go-getter, ambitious, always looking to expand and improve. I love that entrepreneurial spirit! It's exciting to hear about the future business ventures they have in mind. Who knows what kind of cool stuff they'll come up with next? Now, let's talk about the property and the BnBs. Apparently, so the owner and his team built everything themselves, and from what I've seen, they did an incredible job. The attention to detail is top-notch, and the interior of those tiny houses is supposedly mind-blowing. I mean, who wouldn't want to stay in a cozy little space that looks amazing? But wait, there's more! On the premises, they've got a sports bar, a cigar bar, a coffee shop, and food coming soon? That's like a one-stop shop for all your relaxation needs. You can kick back with a cold one, enjoy a fine cigar, sip on some delicious coffee, and satisfy your hunger all in one place. It's like a mini vacation wonderland! Now, here's the catch, my friend. These rooms are apparently very affordable, but you gotta be quick on the draw if you want to snag an extended stay. They fill up faster than a Conor McGregor knockout. We wanted a quiet little getaway and had never been to medicine park we quickly found this place and booked our stay. It was so close to town, and near some great hiking! The room was large and spacious but felt so cozy and inviting- like you were stepping in to a friends house. They had a cute little s'mores set up ready to go, and a basket of snacks. The host has even included a great list of things to do and places to eat in town. We made a fire in the large fire pit out back and enjoyed our s'mores under the stars. The wrap around porch has lots of comfortable seating and ample fire wood so there's no need to bring your own. They even had s'more sticks- though we didn't bring ours as well as our kit ha the shower was so nice and the bathroom was stocked well with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, makeup wipes and bug wipes! Which I had never seen but they definitely came in handy! And I will definitely be looking to add that to our hiking gear!

It is filled with art by artists from around the country and loaded with vintage and new carefully selected furnishings. There's even a sticky note next to each unit suggesting "72° is optimal"--but none of our cabins ever cooled that low. Management clearly knows this since every room also comes with an oscillating fan. Without the fan, sleeping comfortably would've been impossible. * The couch in the lodge is downright gross. No clue when it was last cleaned, but it feels long overdue. * WiFi is basically useless. I'm convinced they're running a residential setup for the whole property. It was painfully slow--I ended up relying on my phone's data most of the time. * No ice machine anywhere on site (that I could find). PROS: * The main hall/community room is great--lots of space, a big kitchen, and perfect for group activities. * Location is solid: only about 15 minutes from Medicine Park. * Horseshoes, cornhole, and frisbee golf are a nice touch. * Fire pit and outdoor charcoal grill made evenings fun. * Management is pretty reliable. Easy to reach. INDIFFERENT: * The lodge offers washers and dryers, but the hours of availability could be better. Overall: a 3-star stay. It works fine for a group gathering if you don't mind sweating it out in the cabins and bringing your own WiFi/ice solutions.

Nobody was around so I searched and found some info. The Lone Oak Cottage is a charming, recently remodeled cobblestone cottage located in the heart of Medicine Park. A historic resort town founded in 1908 known for its unique cobblestone architecture and scenic beauty. Offers a beautiful view of Medicine Park Creek and surrounding mountains from a wrap-around, screened-in porch. Includes a fully equipped kitchen, a queen-size bed, a trundle bed, and a luxurious clawfoot tub. Additional amenities: cable TV, ceiling fans, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, spacious living room with vaulted ceiling, and complimentary coffee, snacks, and soft drinks. No mention of pet friendly snotty would be a deal breaker if not allowed. Will call before deciding. Wish we could have seen the inside.
