Always a memorable visit - selling something for everyone. I know I will find a decent gift here for myself or friends. Gifts are distinctive , outstanding and most of all reasonably priced. I always recommend this quirky shop to friends and family. read more

Cadeux is a unique gift shop that caters for both men and women. I can usually get quite excited about gift shops, and Cadeux is not exception! Usually when I think of gift shops, I get the image of stuffy little card shops with a small arrangement of 'dated' gifts that seem to follow the same trend everywhere. Cadeux is a very stylish shop full of unusual and quirky gifts. They even offer a wedding list service so you know the choice must be extensive! They offer delivery on their goods and also an online shopping service. I'm a big fan of the artwork they stock too, from Rolf Harris, Csilla Orban & Nemo to James Blinkhorn, Doug Hyde & Fabian Perez. If you need an unusual gift idea, have a look at their collections. read more

I'm really not keen on most of the gifts in Cadeaux. They are just SO 'gifty'! There is a wide range of gifty paraphernalia but most has this peculiar style in which I have never seen so many items in one place! Quirky...yet unattractive (to my tastes). Their paintings, for example, are mainly reasonably pleasant, but I simply can't get shake the image of them gracing the walls of coffee shop or pizza chains. 'm sorry Cadeaux!...I feel bad slating an independent shop. Cadeaux certainly has its own character, and due to the huge range of potential gifts on offer it's likely most people would find at least something to their taste. I'm afraid I just can't imagine I would ever consider Cadeaux on the hunt for a gift. read more

Awh I like Cadeaux, I even like that Cadeaux is french for gift or present, I don't actually find it corny or naff. Even from the outside, without stepping foot into the store it's hard not to find this place charming and lovely and awh-inducing. Tis the season to be schmoltzy, it being Valentines and all, and Cadeaux is appropriately dressed for the occasion, with a plethora of red things and things containing almost barfish sentiments about love "without you life was good, with you it's excellent" (sick bag anyone?), I actually do find it endearing. There are currently lots of love heart shaped things, be they silver with diamonds, or in oil format on the artwork, I like the sense of imagination that goes into the creation of the goods that reside here. Be they simply unusual shapes or textures or a combination of the two, in whatever festivity is looming. Homewears stuff is a bit on the expensive side, randomly so, it almost doesn't match up with what it is, £45 for a standard size glass photo frame. Doesn't seem right somehow. The brand Alessi seems rather prominent in this section, but I've never heard of it, and no matter how much I find you charming Cadeaux, £65 for two cups and two saucers is plain crazy. I was on the hunt for a luxury Scrabble set and was pointed in Cadeaux's direction, and whilst I didn't find my Scrabble I did spot a rather decadently priced chess set, that I'm still contemplating despite the ridiculous price tag. I've got a few friends getting married in the next year or so, so naturally I stumbled across the wedding gifts with a semi interest, to which I was asked if the bride or groom (pardon, didn't tell them I had betrothed's in my collective) were registered. Registered for what? Penny dropped, wedding list. No they weren't and aren't, but I was told that if I liked what I saw I could view more of their wedding gift ideas on the website, hmmm interesting, always food for thought. So some stuff is a bit barf bag, and some more of the stuff is expensive for what it is, it's something a little bit different, and fairly unique, I won't say totally unique, in case it's a case of, haven't seen you before, but yes you do reside in another Leeds shop. I like it. It's alright by me it is. read more

It's so good to see an independent store & gift store to be surviving this terrible GLOBAL difficulty/mess! I recently walked form Leeds train station & was horrified to see the amount of empty units. Cadeaux is the one shop that I always rely on for any gift, birthday, wedding Christmas,Mothers day. I like the fact I can buy a kettle for my home without friends saying they have the very same one in there kitchen! or they have seen it for £29.99 in the Argos on page 223!!!! I've been lucky enough to buy several paintings from there over the 9 years I've been shopping there and yes on a recent trip to New York I did see Fabian Perez paintings on the wall of a cocktail bar but it was the Grand Hyatt, you don't get much better than that! We did our wedding list with them last year, got a really good price on all the little extras we needed to buy, such as presents for the bridesmaids, ushers and not forgetting THE MOTHER IN-LAW!!!! That's the best thing about it being independent, we arranged a time which suited me and my partner even though it was out of hours. we got a discount on the end price and the young lady who helped us had the wine ready and waiting for us! As soon as we walk in the shop the staff always have a smile for us! I love the fact the internet lets you have your say on just about anything but to say your not 'Keen' on somewhere because it's not to your taste, I just don't see how that helps?? It's like me writing a review for JJB and saying "it's ok but just too much sportswear" or it sells blue shorts and I don't like blue!!! Use your time and effort to do something positive for a business! Cadeaux, we wish you all the luck in the world and we look forward to popping in next time we're in town. read more

Cadeaux is one of the few remaining independent shops in Leeds and it is also one of the best! They are by far the best shop in Leeds for gifts for all occasions. They sell Alessi and Culinary Concepts kitchen ware, Umbra frames, jewelery from Simon Carter, Mondaine, Hot Diamond and John Rocha, Spaceform glass tokens, Billy Bags, art work from the likes of Doug Hyde and so much more! If I am ever struggling to find a good gift for Christmas, birthdays, christenings or valentines day I always go here! With great gifts for both men and women! They also have an online shop and everything can be gift wrapped and sent straight to your door! The price range is also really good with items starting for just a couple of pounds and ranging right up to hundreds meaning no matter how much you want to spend you will always find something suitable. The staff are really friendly and a lot of their products are exclusive to them in Leeds so you can get some real unique finds in this little shop! If you are ever struggling to find a good gift I suggest you head straight there or check out the website! read more

I love to shop and boy is this the place for me. I'm like a magpie, if I shines I want it! I can't ever remember a shopping trip to leeds where me and my girlfriends have not called to buy at least 1 thing. I love hot diamonds jewellery and I'm now getting to the point where I need a bigger house to keep it all! Lucky me I don't live that far so I can pop in quite a lot and I often call in for just a chat with the owner. Love it, love it, love it!! Xx read more
