You ask questions or have a complaint, they roll their eyes. You try to go up the chain of command and they hang up on you! My child came home filthy from head to toe, like literal dirt on his face, almost everyday. He had marks and I got nothing but snotty remarks from the administration. Oh not to mention, my toddler was sent home at least once a week for some ridiculous reason, like a diaper rash THEY caused, and I had to drop everything in the middle of the day to go and pick him up!! Thankfully I still have a job! The fee they charge for the service they provide is criminal! I wouldn't recommend this place if it was FREE!

I withdrew my child providing more than 2 weeks written notice but they continued to take the money out of my bank account. When I called to get it resolved the new director said she would get back to me in a few minutes. 3 hours later I called and left a message as no one answered the phone. 6 hours after the call I showed up and was told that she told billing and they were working to resolve the issue but she couldn't do anything because she was in a classroom. Their lack of staffing became my problem because someone did not do their job and they took money I did not have out of my bank account. I was assured I would get a refund after they figured out the problem. this "refund" will not cover the $35 per day that my account is negative due to their error. Don't send your children here. This used to be an excellent child care center but not anymore.

Hi, families/ parents!…read more My first son entered KinderCare learning center at Paxson Lane in Newark in 2018. At only five months old, I had many concerns sending my very vulnerable and non-speaking baby to a daycare center. My job leads me into many daycare facilities regularly. I can honestly tell you that many daycare facilities are poorly ran, unsanitary, and revolve with new staff constantly...but not this one. My son was instantly greeted with love, and compassion. I was a new parent sending my sweet baby into a building with a bunch of strangers. I couldn't think of anything more anxiety-provoking. I remember his first day, I called the center twice to check on my guy. Not only that, but they have an app where they post photos very frequently, and you can nearly see what your little one is doing all day. At the end of the day, you receive a full report of your babe. You see what they ate (or, in my case how many ounces of each bottle), diaper changes, and nap times and lengths of time. My sons first teacher became such a huge positive, loving, and educational person in his life. She is truly one of the sweetest people I can think of. I can honestly tell you that all five of the teachers that my son has been with have genuinely cared and loved him, and have strived to ensure he thrives. There was no hesitation to send our second son to KCLC at 12 weeks old, when I had to return to work. The center is genuinely a staff of family (not literally), but every single person that's there (I do know them all by name) is truly awesome. Their positivity, happy attitudes, and genuine commitment to serving our children are unlike anything I have seen at other daycares. There is truly no better feeling then dropping your child off in the morning and knowing that they will be cared for exceptionally. Both of my children are absolutely thriving and come home with new skills daily. The center has gone through so many changes with COVID, and they are going through so many extra steps to keep the children safe and sanitary. I could go on and on about our KCLC family, but I can assure you, you will not regret sending your child here.

She grew up in a home daycare ran by her grandmother, and appreciated the relationships her grandmother developed with the children that were truly loving. I attended a traditional facility based program that was more classroom-based and therefore better equipped in some ways, but far less personal. Most of the places we visited in Delaware fell firmly into one of these two categories. When we found Little Stars, it quickly felt like home. Ginny Cahill, the director, answered all of our questions with knowledge, experience, and care. Her mother is the director at the other location, located off Kirkwood Highway, and prior to that ran a home daycare for many years. The values of the home daycare experience shine through into everything Little Stars does. However, it comes tied with the manpower and resources of a somewhat larger program. Inside, there are classroom "pods" that have walls on three sides, but on the fourth corner connect openly to a center area. As a result the children and staff members are all connected as well, providing many opportunity for sharing experiences and friendship building. The teachers know all the students, not only their own. My son was enrolled at Little Stars for 3 1/2 years. The strong bonds that he developed with the staff members and other children could best tell you the story of how satisfied we are with this facility. He was well cared for and engaged throughout his time there, and will miss it significantly as he moves on to "big kid school". Both Little Stars locations are well-run, organized, and safe places to enroll your children. The teachers take a strong interest in the lives of the children, and better than most daycares, prioritize learning alongside play. I have trusted my son's well-being to them for quite some time, and will continue to utilize their service for needed vacation and in-service days. If you are looking for care for your child, I strongly suggest you check them out.

I also appreciate the fact that they hid my spot for enrolling until the end of the week. They didn't pressure me into coming to their daycare at the time of enrollment. In all they are good people and I trust the teachers and staff with my son who I love dearly. Don't hesitate just sign your kid up he or she will be in good hands! sincerely TB:)

The owner, Ms. Cindy, is very kind and reasonable. In addition, she is very knowledgeable in regards to early childhood education and has years of experience in the field. When he began attending this school, he was in the young toddlers classroom, before moving to older toddlers and then Get Set, which prepares three year olds for preschool. His most recent teacher, Ms. Kim, is a gem. She's been at the school for over 10 years and it is very apparent that she loves what she does. She's not one of those teachers who views it as a job to collect a paycheck. She obviously has a passion for working with toddlers, which is what you want when you're sending your toddler to a facility and you're relying on others to attend to them for 6-8 hours a day. When we were having issues with potty training, she gave us valuable tips that we practice successfully to this day. She also taught my son Spanish, among many other valuable things. If we could take her with us, we would. She is the epitome of what you want in a teacher at an early childhood learning center. While enrolled at the school, my son had an accident in which he broke his foot. I was irate as none of the teachers were able to explain how it happened. Ms. Cindy worked with us and we did not have to pay a dime for the medical expenses. There were a few other little mishaps that can be experienced at any childcare center. For example, we would send him with breakfast in bowls labeled with his name and during one week, not one bowl came home. This was frustrating because parents are required to label their child's belongings and you expect said belongings to be returned. The tuition is a bit costly and food is not provided. It's something to be mindful of if you're thinking about enrolling your child.

Now for the new principal and , assisted Principal, administrators are a different story. Last Tuesday my middle school child pick up his siblings which he have done before. He graduated from Brader in June. It was an incident with my middle School child did something to his elementary school brother. The Principal said the constable, the Dean, the administrator and the assistant Principal was all called. I was told 3 adults from the school walked my children home. No on never called me or anyone on my children contact list even after the situation I was never contacted. Not by phone, email, class dojo. They never asked my children what is your mother phone number to make me aware of what happenen. But claim they was concerned for my children safety. So why not take them back to the school and reach thier parent. Now so how they access my 11 grader information when he hasn't went to that school in over 6 years. Now I have personally talked on the phone with my children teachers who called me on my phone from their schools. The Principal said " I rather over do then under do" so instead of her contacting me or my children emergency contact she called the police on my 11 year old son lied and told the police she had no way to contact me. They get out of school at 350 it's was around 530 when I emailed the principal about the situation because she still didn't contact me on what happened ridiculous. She emailed me back and called me the next morning. It's sad that all those adults was involved and not one I mean not one thought to call me their mother on what happened or to even ask the teachers for my phone , number or even my children for it is again unacceptable. Calling the police on a 11 year black young male is unnecessary, in this era calling the police can go very bad in two second. Which I don't appreciate it especially when I should have been informed. So the principal model is to call the cops on a child instead of descaling the situation or again I keep stressing calling the paren. I have been having children go to Brader since 2020 so for the Principal to lie to the cops and herself saying she had no contact information for me is a lame excuse to jeopardize a child to be arrested or detained for no reason. Lord knows we all miss Principal Gallagher. I hope they learn to over do by calling the parents if they really thing the child is in danger or if anything is going on with the children a parent should be contacted not reaching out to another minor if my high school child isn't old enough to sign them out of school then he not old enough to give the police his number instead of mines. Oh yes they found my sons number but not mines make sense my name and number is on every form that is ever signed for any of my children.
