It also had private little yard and picnic tables and flowers . Owner came to make sure everything was working perfectly and helped me with my water hose . I didn't care if it wasn't within walking distance to restaurants . I felt as if I was in my own place with my private fence and yard . My dog also loved having her own little space . I plan to go and do some trails at Palo Duro . I am short distance from what I love . You should come out and check it out for yourself . I will definitely come back .

We are telling and are approximately 50 feet and fit into the spots really nicely. All the spots are very large. What's best is the customer service. We called at midnight last night and somebody answered and said they had vacancy. We did not have this experience in the other campgrounds in Amarillo. In fact this is the only campground the answer their phone at all hours of the night. Other campgrounds didn't even have anything listed On their office showing vacancy spots or even a map of what they have open. Will definitely be stopping here again! The spot was $26/ night. The campground isn't fancy, but it's got great pull through sites with 30/50 amp power. We parked on the far left corner & had the best clear view of an open field. Very pretty, small trees. We paid the discounted passport America price, you just find your spot first, park, then walk over to the front office. You fill out an envelope with cash or check & put it in the slot. We didn't see anyone at the front office either of the two times we have camped here & that's just our style. They do offer free WiFi which wasn't too bad, except for peak hours. We loved staying here! I don't know if there are showers or laundry, because we live in our Motorhome & didn't need that anyways.

This place is one our kiddos would not stop talking about...especially because they have "tunnels" in almost every cabin! These tunnels are legit, too! They take you from the first floor to 2nd floor lofts, along a sturdy and architecturally sound structure that is well-built and carpeted for a clean path that leads to the 2nd floor and has lookout windows along the way. The tunnels are also lit. Wow, my kiddos were in for a big surprise when the owner said, "Enjoy it! Maybe you'll see a tunnel or two you can crawl through." We kind of thought he was joking in the beginning, and then we walked into the cabin. Wow! These are architecturally sound and so much fun for active kiddos! Aside from the tunnels, the granite kitchen counters and wood floors and nice amenities made this place somewhere we will stay again! Not shown is the bathroom with marble Shower in Juniper (that is handicap accessible), an upstairs loft with 2-double beds and downstairs bar eating area. It is absolutely lovely and clean! The Juniper and Mesquite cabins have a picturesque front porch that opens to the Canyon area and has views of aoudad sheep! Also, they have corn hole games and tic-tac-toe along with other fun games on property! Each unit comes with a grill or has access to one. I cannot recommend this location enough!

Free breakfast every morning was delicious, as was the free Blue Bell ice cream every afternoon. Cabin has a small fridge, pod coffeemaker and complimentary pods (McDonald's), games, s'mores kit, flashlight (for nighttime trips to the bathroom), bug repellent, nice towels, and more, not to mention the comfortable beds. HVAC worked quietly and efficiently. Deck out front has BBQ pits and a fire pit along with rocking chairs and a hammock. ONLY complaint was that wasps kept swarming above our door every afternoon. Staff called park maintenance, who responded right away and sprayed. First day, ran out of spray and wasps returned. Second day, sprayed thoroughly and even climbed a ladder to knock down the nest. Yet they were back again the third day when maintenance doused everything in spray; could not sit outside after that and the wasps were still hanging around! That was the only blemish on an otherwise terrific experience.

Family of 6 and we took full advantage of the fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with all the supplies), propane grill and fire pit, nice covered porch with fun seating, plus so many fun games like corn hole and connect 4. There were even extra chairs to pull out when our family staying nearby came over for s'mores (supplies provided). LOVED that all extra bedding for the futon and towels and wash cloths were provided. There was also a bag of ice and jug of water included, plus bug spray, sunscreen, paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and sanitizer. We also took our 2 dogs and they enjoyed having the a/c and semi fenced yard which gave them a little boundary. The included ice cream and breakfast is yummy at the nearby Trading Post. We were in D and the walk to the bathroom was a little far, but manageable. If you have mobility issues or a tiny bladder, I would recommend trying for cabin A or B as they are closer to the Trading Post which has a bathroom you can use during their open hours and those cabins are also closer to the parking lot if you decide to drive to the nearby bathroom/shower area. The trail to the cabins is easily wheelchair friendly as it is well maintained and only one slight incline at the start. Another perk, to add to ALL the others, is the included wagon use which makes unloading a breeze. Seriously, this is a great place to stay and the views are breathtaking! The cabin is also beautifully decorated. Stay there, you won't regret it!! Yes, there is no bathroom (you can pay the $8 and use the camping toilet), but they are very upfront about that and it's not that big of a hassle unless you just want to be in your room the whole time. It was pricey, but with the added perks and benefit of being down in the canyon and near trails, we felt it was very fairly priced!
