Cereal, bread, fruit, and a small variety of pastries were also available. Togo cups also available upon request. The rooms do look dated, but at least the beds were replaced and very comfortable. We requested a mini fridge, microwave, and a water boiler for the room. The rooms are only cleaned up on request. Rooms were quiet, we could hear the upstairs room walking but otherwise it was very quiet. The workers at the front desk are very friendly. And helped to answer questions that we may have. You can also request additional toiletries, towels, etc from the front desk. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Bonus: get up early and be the first at sunwapta falls!

So they chose this one which was nearby but survived the fire. They also have previously stayed here before. I like that there is a river right across that you can go to in the mornings. After figuring out there are amenities at the front office, I started snooping out this one and found an espresso maker! With fresh milk. So I would come here in the mornings for my morning coffee fix. There are also books, board games, and a couple of binders with all the different menus from town (some need updating though). The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I was able to meet the daughter of the owners. We also went to the hot tub which was very nice. We weren't sure how the changing/shower room worked, so my husband avoided it when there were women using it. You can chop some wood for your fire place which we did. I really liked the cabins - they feel kind of homey. The couches are all nice and thematic, the artwork is not generic - I think I saw other pieces by the same artist around Jasper. There was a fridge, microwave, toaster, and an electric kettle. There was also a bathtub which I needed after one of our hikes. I also liked the lotion - it really helped my skin heal up. The patios were really cute, but we never used them because of mosquitos. We were in a cabin with a shared wall - you can hear the other side if they're playing loud music. Which my brother-in-law was. My in-laws got a standalone cabin which was really cute because it's like a cute little house. It would be perfect if you have younger kids who was some of their own space. These ones also have a stove - so some frozen pizzas were made. They are in the process of rebuilding the cabins. We weren't staying in the cabins during the day mostly so if there was noise I didn't notice. If you are driving into town, use the highway to avoid the train.

We had really bad time in this resort and the management did nothing to address the problems. To…read morestart, we got assigned a room that had very little in common with what was shown on the website: we paid for the suite but got a tiny closet-like hotel room that barely had enough space to walk around the beds. There was not even a space for two suitcases, so we had to keep one in the car. It was hot and smoky when we stayed in Jasper and the room didn't have an AC or even some basic ventilation. With forest fires being a common occurrence in Jasper during the summer months, having no proper ventilation with air filters is plain negligence. The older neighbors from the nearby unit paid for three nights but left after just one night because they could not breathe at night. The resort has very weak cell signal (0-1 bar), so our phones didn't work half of the time and their WiFi was a joke, the download speeds were of a dial up connection and only when WiFi was working, so most of the time we couldn't connect anywhere. My fiance and I had to drive to Jasper downtown to check our emails. When my fiance went to talk to the management about changing the room and offered to pay for the upgrade, he was lied to that they had no availability, even though the bigger and newer unit nearby was empty all the time we stayed there. This would be a one star review, but I added another star because of the nice seating area by the lake and postcardish view of Pyramid mountain across the water.

The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and welcoming. Of course it was a bit small given they are cabin like, but everything else was so well organized it didn't matter. As someone else mentioned, the wifi is slow here, but let's hope you aren't here to use the wi-fi! Patricia Lake is literally right outside the cabin area. It is very peaceful and waking up after an evening of light rain, the sky was so blue, the lake was so calm and breathtaking. We spent a lot of time just taking pictures, taking in the beautiful surrounding area in. I highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly, but we didn't interact with them much outside of initially getting the key and then returning the key. Make sure you make your reservations early - Patricia Lake Bungalows is a highly desirable lodge to stay in Jasper National Park. When I return to Jasper, I will definitely be making my reservation for here again.

But when we got in, I was definitely glad this was the only place left. It does not disappoint. For one, it's very spacious. The motel we stayed in had two separate bedrooms: and a tv right in front of each bed. Great for different people to watch different channels in the different rooms. It was also very clean and tidy. The staff cleaned up well, although they left some supplies in our room one time. That wasn't a biggie - just a small, careless mistake that was probably just a one time occurrence. The facilities also included a fitness room (kind of small, though, but at least it existed!), a pool, a water slide, and a hot tub. The wifi worked well and was very quick as well. There was a decent breakfast in the morning, and the lobby has cookies + popcorn + juice machine available in the afternoon/evening. Kids loved this! In our place, we had a fridge, microwave, stovetop, and coffee maker. Overall, a great place to stay in Hinton! Would definitely recommend: and not too expensive either.

And I am loving the convenient free wifi available in each room. The soaps and amenities are of good quality and you get an in room refrigerator as well. A continental breakfast is also served. My only concern were the seemingly paper thin walls and noise from the next room. But I figure with the savings I get by staying here I can afford a pair of ear plugs and still come out ahead. This location served me well after hiking several days in North Jasper Park area.

My husband and I were staying for 2 nights and this was our first visit. We booked through a third party booking website and paid $266.64 for the whole stay The location is fantastic, 5 km north of Jasper town site, with views of Pyramid Lake and surrounding mountains. Jasper happen to receive some 70 cm of snow during our stay, so Mother Nature made it all the more enjoyable for us. They offer different type of rooms and some rooms are better than others with lake views and updated bathrooms. Ours was the more ordinary kind (Cavell Room - 2 double beds), but clean, comfortable and all we needed. The rooms are guarantied until midnight, which makes it convenient when driving on a Friday night after work, as we did. Parking and WiFi is free, although we could never connect from our furthest away room, it was working from the dinning room. We rented a car that weekend (front wheel drive) and had some difficulty making it up the hill to park. It could have been hazardous, a bit more sand on the hill would have been appreciated. There is also a outdoor hot tub, but we personally didn't use it. There are trails accessible directly from the Lodge, as well as skating and hockey (nets) on the Lake. Although with the amount of snow pilling up, the ice wasn't open until late afternoon. Here is where I was mostly disappointed. I was really looking forward to the Saturday night dinning experience, as the menu seemed really interesting. For a restaurant that boasts they have an "award winning menu", I found that the execution was not up to par with other restaurants in Jasper. We were a group of 10 adults and one child having dinner. Two people had the Halibut & Chips (my personal choice) ($18), three had Charlie's Salad Bowl ($18) and others had spaghetti, burgers and risotto. For my part, I didn't even eat the fries that came with ... And I LOVE fries. The fish was ok, but everything tasted of old frying oil. I don't like returning food, so I ate the fish and just felt disappointed. Everybody that had the salad said it was ok, but that the rice noodles on top needed a bit more cooking (maybe they were supposed to be crispy, but if so, nobody liked it). The Chocolate Pyramid ($8) for dessert was great though. Breakfast was ok, but they could use an espresso maker (seriously!). So go for the location, but go eat somewhere else if you can.

The more we chewed, the better it tasted, and my friend even wanted another basket of bread. We ordered the RANGER'S TENDERLOIN and MOUNTAINEER RIB-EYE STEAK. Their medium rare was a bit more on the rare side compared to other steakhouses, but the meat still had a rich flavor. It's just that the meat inside was rarer and harder to chew. The sauce that came with the MOUNTAINEER RIB-EYE STEAK was super delicious, adding more flavor to the meat. However, the sauce for the RANGER'S TENDERLOIN was avocado salsa verde, which I wasn't quite used to, so I ended up eating the meat plain. The side dish, truffled mashed potatoes, was too salty, and I gave up on it after eating less than half!
