BarCode is so narrow, it literally has no seats, except for a few tables on an upstairs landing. We stood all night. That was fine for me, because I was buzzed almost immediately, and my senses were dulled effectively. I could crack my head open, and not feel a thing. My wife, who is infinitely wiser in her consumption of alcohol, felt out of sorts with all the standing and jostling. Thus, be warned. BarCode is a fabulous cocktail bar, but it could use a bit more square footage. That may be impossible in the ancient town center of Padova. We took a stroll today through the centro and decided to stop here for lunch. We each tried something different and were pleasantly surprised by every choice. One thing I noticed is that the staff can get by in English. They put up with my attempt to use my weeks worth of Italian. I made a blunder here and there, but they were patient to figure out what I was trying to get at. This is already my second visit and I know I will be back. This is the perfect spot to bring family and friends to eat lunch and enjoy Vicenza.
