Thanks in large part to this place I learned to make pancakes, muffins, scones, poached eggs and omelettes and overcome my fear of frying food to make crispy bacon. I lived in Sweden till 2014 but I still gladly spend my vacations there. We hardly go out on weekends for breakfast anymore. Never got the bagel thing, but I just suffer till I get back home to the US. The sallads taste good, but if you do not like fish (salmon and herring the Swedish style) you have a hard time finding food that will make you full. The bread is fine. The dessert table is ok but of the healthy kind (meaning more sour and bitter than sweet), the chocolate desserts are the best. You make your own waffles. The environment is pretty cozy. It is too pricy and not worth it. It was not for me - so I will not return.

We were there in winter and on a Sunday so there weren't as many shops open as we expect is normal for this area. There were a couple bakeries displaying their delicious smelling baked goods out on the street and a couple cafes open. I bet it's a great location in summer with the shops open and people outside vending their items. It's also nice that it's in walking distance to the fortress so you can combine lunch, shopping, a great view, and a historical site all in one visit.
