This might be my first international review. I found this place after looking for another place that seemed to share the same address and must have become this place because I never found the other. I went on a late Sunday morning. It was busy and the place was short staffed, so after seating me the owner kind of forgot about me. Was super apologetic, but I couldn't blame him it was bustling and I think he only had two other people there, one being the cook. The food was tasty. I sometimes come here for breakfast. It was the first place I ever tried eggs Benedict and I fell in love. The staff is really friendly and we never had to wait long for our order. Price wise it is not the cheapest place, but still worth it. read more

Me and three friends came out for brunch yesterday after sleeping in. Our waitress was friendly and approached us asking if we spoke English. That was the big conversation starter, as my friends knew little German, if any. We asked her for brunch, or items that can double as breakfast and lunch. I got a fresh-made omelette with salad and fresh-squeezed OJ and my friends got eggs and toast without bacon and pancakes topped with fruit and maple syrup. I thought it was only hype but this place is great! My friend and I are on holiday from California and we stopped in for a bite. I had tomato soup and the bacon panini. The food was so delicious. Also, the waitress/barista was very helpful abd spole English. She offered to translate the menu for us which was something we hadn't ran into while in Berlin. Would recommend. My friend had the bacon and eggs with toast. We were both very impressed. The decor is really pretty and the place is very clean. Def stop in and have a bite. Very nice place located in a quiet street. They have excellent brunch options! You can choose from a set menu or you can create your own breakfast with eggs, different types of bread and toppings. If you're on a specific diet this is a really flexible way to put together a delicious meal. I loved the scrambled eggs and croissants! They also have free wifi, you can find the password on the menu. Bathroom is clean and tidy. read more

The food there was great, I can recommend that. However, the reason why I decided to give the restaurant a much lower rating than the food deserves is because of the service. There were two things that ruined our breakfast experience there. First, the waitress was very pushy about us ordering fast. We were four, but had to share two menus and because they didn't have enough menus or so. After a while, she even wanted to take one away which did not help speed up our ordering process. Then, she kept on coming back to ask if we were ready to order, and the last time she pushed a bit further by saying, "this is your last chance to order". This was certainly not the brunch service I would expect to have. Second, though I am not a native speaker, I have learned German for years and can confidently have daily life conversations in German. When my friends and I ordered, we all ordered in German, she replied to everyone in German, but insisted on answering to me in English even though I made the order in German. This happened every time she came to our table, so counting the times she came to urge us to order, and paying, it was about five times. I spoke to her in German each time but she just responded to me in English. In case you wonder, I am Asian, so if this is because she cannot imagine an Asian looking person speaking German, I have a problem with that. Food was good. Wait was quite a bit as they have one server/hostess/barista/everything and one cook as far as I can tell. She warned us it would be 45 minutes for breakfast, we chose to wait. Setting is very nice with couches, recliners and a very homely feeling. Eggs Benedict had a nice taste, hollandaise was a little thin. I'm not sure if bacon strips was precooked type? Farmers plate, however, was a better flavor, but portion was small compared to most other places I've been to in Cologne. The cheesecake was out of this world. Fruit bowl was very fresh. read more

My spot... really..... I've been almost everyday there for 2weeks! This cafe is quiet and peaceful and even though it's named cafe their food is really good. Have a try at their gnocchi or pancakes or just a normal frustuck plate! Also, really good home made lemonade and I love their latte machiatto with a lot of foam ! Good quality internet that is great to work remotely and the owners wont get mad even if you stay many hours :) Recommended! read more

Wow. I spent 3 days in Berlin and I came to eat here twice! I absolutely loved this cafe. The food was absolutely delicious and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is nice. The WiFi is strong. The only downside to this is that they don't have an English menu, but the waitress helped with the translations. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

I love this place , such a nice little place to relax and enjoy meals through the day , however I like the coffee and cake :-) The lady who runs in so amazingly polite . This is a medium-small cafe with a very simple decoration. The food tasted fresh and there is a wide variety of breakfasts to choose from. By the way they do also offer a range of teas and coffees (even Almond milk) We went on Saturday and Sunday in a row. In addition the waitress was very nice and friendly. Thank you! read more
