Instead of doing too much and end up having a bunch of average/poor food with slow service. Our tour bus dropped us off here for lunch just before heading off the see the Cliffs of Moher. All I want to say is that to ME, O'Connor's was a better attraction for me than a piece of rock next to the ocean (I have no idea what the bid deal is). Our table had their Seafood Chowder, Banger's & Mash And the Fish & Chips. Everything was very flavorful and fresh. Maybe it's because I'm American, but here, we have to pay at least 3 times the cost in order to get food that taste this fresh, otherwise it's most likely processed and have God knows what in it. The ordering process was also very simple, walk in, get a menu & table, remember your table number, walk up to the bar and tell them what you want and your table number, pay (and grab your drink if you ordered one), go sit down and in about 5 minutes your food is there. Fast, resonable priced, good AND Fresh. Couldn't ask for more. Ireland has truly been a very budget friendly country to visit

The atmosphere is sort of resort casual with picnic tables and vinyl polka dot table clothes. The bathrooms were old, but clean. The place overlooks the ocean, but takes almost no advantage of this fact. The service seemed to be all friendly, well-trained young people, perfect with the casual atmosphere. The beef was better than anything we would have the right to expect, local, Scottish, butchered down the road. Toasted buns seemed just right, as did the chips, hot and not greasy. Since coffeehouses are not a thing in town, this seems a great place to relax for coffee, until the need for a burger arises. Pro tip: you need to park in the correct place.

Excellent American-style diner at the very tip of Scotland!…read more We not only ate here but we also camped at the accompanying camping park. The owner was lovely and very accommodating. We had breakfast here, I had the Floridian and my partner had the Sampler. The crispy bacon is awesome and the whole meal was delicious. But by far the best thing of all was the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake!! Screw Starbucks and their lattés, this shake was AMAZING!!! I'm sure the actual pie is just as good! Will definitely return if I'm ever in Thurso. Thanks, from the 2 Australians who were dumb enough to camp in a tent in the middle of October :D

Busters Diner used to be good, but alas now it is very different…read more When I was a teenager Busters used to do great food, which seemed freshly made. Nowadays it's under new management, and I am told that the women who owns the place is so cheap that she just gets a whole load of "Super Saver" brands from TESCO to stock the place with. The difference is definitely noticeable. The Busters fries used to be very good, but the ones I had a couple of months ago were saturated with grease and had a very unimpressive flavour. The tattie wedges used to be good as well, but the ones i had about a month ago were flabby, not well enough cooked, and just plain not very nice. There was no salt or ketchup, which did nothing to improve the already uninspiring and generic flavour of this menu item. However, what was truly horrible was their crisscut fries. I had these along with what must be the most miserable, dejected, pathetic and exhausted salad I have seen in a very long time. Half of the salad box was filled with a tub of coleslaw, meaning that there wasn't much salad at all included... but that was a small mercy as it wasn't very good to eat. The crisscut fries claimed to be savoury coated fries... but they weren't fries... they're some kind of big frittter thing in a lattice pattern. They're assumedly meant to be crispy, but a lot of them were not that well cooked and were mushy and congealed together in the box. They were completely saturated with grease which tasted very much not fresh. I had to throw out most of them, because eating them made me feel really ill. A little while later i puked up right in the street, which was a mercy to get that stuff out of me I can tell you. I won't be bothering to waste my money at Busters in the future, I reckon.
