I caught it on the menu right at the end of the season and I was glad I could try it. I also got to try the apple wine that is special to Frankfurt. I wasn't that big of a fan and stuck to my beer, but I would be open to giving it another try in the future. Beware of the parking situation! It is street parking only and we struggled to find a spot on the narrow road outside the biergarten.

Z.B. wurden sämtliche Schweineschnitzel von der Karte genommen, dafür gibt es nun ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb. Das war ordentlich zubereitet, allerdings fehlten bei den Bratkartoffeln Zwiebel und Speck. Dafür wurden einige Steaks neu aufgenommen. Das Risotto von der vegetarischen Karte ist gestrichen. Die überbackenen Spätzle (mehr Tiefkühlgemüse als Nudeln) taugen gerade noch als Vorspeise, allerdings zum Preis einer Hauptspeise. Es bleibt der Eindruck, dass bei Menge und Qualität der einzelnen Speisen eingespart wird, dafür nun auf eine umfangreichere Karte mit höheren Preisen gesetzt wird.

Lucked out to be here in spargel season; whole page of spargel delights available but I got the basic- spargel soup...heavenly. Being some months out of Germany got weiner schnitzel for entree - very nice crispy coating and flavor. Service prompt and spoke enough English for us to get by. Credit card machine on the blink.
