1 of a kind sweet treat spot in Schaumburg. Cafe Blessing offers coffees, teas, and scones. I stopped in on a weekday morning. People were already waiting outside 10 minutes prior to them opening! Decor here is minimal and I dig it. Wooden tables and benches. You really don't need much. Service was great. Even with how busy it was I received my items within 5 minutes. I got an iced matcha latte and it was probably the best matcha latte I've had. Premium quality and tasty. I also tried an assortment of their scones. Maybe I'm not a scone person, I didn't love them, I thought they were fine. Pricing is pretty steep and I was expecting to be blown away vs thinking 'meh.'

A cute little cafe that recently opened in Schaumburg. I've seen it all over my instagram and stopped by while I was in the area. We went during an off time, so it wasn't busy yet but as we were leaving a whole bunch of folks came in. We were so excited to try some of the drinks and pastries. The scones looked delicious, we went with some of the recommendations that the barista recommended. My favorite was the strawberry, granted I thought the pastries were a bit on the pricier side, but you can really appreciate the flavors they put in. With the drinks, I got the strawberry matcha and really appreciated how that strawberry flavoring was tasted through the whole drink. Overall, a good experience I look forward to coming back to try other things. Keep mind it's a bit hard to find in the parking lot but it is in a corner, you can't miss it if you're looking that way!

I know you know I'm not a big coffee person, but I'm broadening my horizons. one thing is for certain I'm not big on sweets. The scones are the highlight of this place and for me it kinda made me look into what scones should be. The service was great very communicative and calm . The ambiance was chill and quiet almost like a library. The scones flavors were a little too subtle for me . The blueberry compote in my matcha was super thick and kind of stuck to the bottom. The ube ube flavored one was very ube. Another essentially non back to back visit but multiple times visit for sure.

Looked very busy when we got there, but started to open up as people finished and they were on top with their customer service. Very popular spot and welcoming to guest from all over with a modern touch in the interior. Had their Ube Latte and it was made with the amount of sweetness.

Cafe Blessing is STILL going strong 2.5 months after open. I visited when they opened and it was already crowded! They offer a limited menu of coffee & tea drinks as well as unique flavored scones. Some scone flavors rotate but coffee has stayed rather consistent. I got the Cream Top Latte which had a heavy foam top and creamy coffee mixture throughout. For scones, I ordered the Strawberry, Lemon Earlgrey, & Sweet Corn but also tried the Black Sesame & Oreo. The regular scones were $4.50 and cream scones were $6.50. Each scone was packed with its own unique flavor profile that was spot on to the listed name. Everything tasted fresh and none of the scones were hard. I enjoyed the Strawberry & Lemon Earlgrey the most. I will say that all items were extremely decadent! Overall, this wouldn't be somewhere I could go to all the time but was nice for a special treat. They have plenty of places to sit but it felt like they made the chairs purposefully uncomfortable so people don't linger.

I stopped by this little café after my friend spotted it on Instagram and wanted to try their scones. I decided to pick some up as a gift for her, so this is a quick review focused on my pickup experience. When I arrived around 4:30 PM on a Friday, they only had 3 varieties of scones left on the cooling rack. I picked up the matcha, the cheese, and butter, all boxed to-go. The box was cute: square shape with clear film on top so you can see through, and white so it made it easy for gifting and was presentable. Pricing was $4.50 per non-cream scone (pre-tax), which feels a bit on the higher side for the size -- they seem a bit small without the cream & toppings. Although for my purpose that day, it was fine because the scones were going to be in transit and the cream would have probably spill everywhere. I did notice that none of the scones available at the time had the creams or toppings that I've seen in their social media posts or Yelp photos, which was a little disappointing. Since these were a gift, I can't personally speak to the taste--but I'm hoping they delivered! From what I could tell, their in-store cafe menu mainly highlights drinks, and there isn't a full display or listing of all the scone flavors they offer. It also seems like selection may depend heavily on timing which is why I'm holding back a star in my rating. Although it wasn't crowded, there was still a steady flow of customers. The ambiance was trendy and feels like it's a fun place for a coffee meetup. But just know that if you're coming specifically for scones and want more variety, it's probably best to visit earlier in the day. By late afternoon, options seem pretty limited. I might come back to try some scones for myself at another time, but so far from what I've seen available that day --nothing stood out for me. I could also see this being an opportunity for the café--especially heading into the weekend--to keep more scones stocked later in the day. A lot of people are out on Fridays and weekends and might want a midday treat or even an evening pairing with their matcha or tea. Having more variety available later could definitely help them capture more business. Tip: This place can be a little tricky to find within the plaza. I had to double-check both Apple Maps and Google Maps and still ended up calling the café for directions because circling around the parking lot was no fun. It's located right next to Yu's Mandarin, at the corner of the plaza. So if you find yourself heading toward Foot Finesse, you've gone too far-- turn back the other way. Bonus tip: I'm seeing now that they list their full scones selection on their website. The cream scones are an additional $2.

I really wanted to love this place but it was pretty mid. Located in a plaza, there's plentiful parking. I heard it used to be handsome bakery. Match Duo - Dream top was creamy. More milky than matcha forward than I would have expected for a matcha latte Black Sesame & Corn Scone - Both felt kinda the same where the cream on top or butter kind of held it down. But im not a Scone person Vibes space good to catch up we with friends or cafe date. Shockingly busy kn a Thursday morning All In all, just okay. Def not worth the drive from the city, only if you are nearby.

We came in expecting more of a Korean-style cafe dessert-and-drink experience rather than a spot focused on amazing coffee or matcha, and that's exactly what it felt like. Their scones are huge, with a big chunk of flavored cream on top. We got four, and honestly the scone base itself tasted pretty similar across the different flavors, so most of the variation really came from the cream. The famous Matcha Duo and Dirty Peanut Butter Latte were both great dessert-style caffeine drinks. Super filling and very delicious. There was a long line on Sunday morning, but the staff worked pretty efficiently. Two flavors were already sold out by 10:50 a.m. Parking was also very easy, with a free lot.

Wow, get the coffee! I'm shook. Good strong dose, well extracted, and can even tell it's an Ethiopian shot despite the cream top and milk. I can tell someone took the time to dial everything in and they should be recognized! Well executed cream top as well. Despite that precision with coffee, the strawberry matcha fell short ratio and flavor wise. Maybe it was an off day. Still super solid quality coming out of this cafe. Would def come back and recommend.

We ordered: 1. Scones: Black Sesame, Injeolmi, Lemon Earl Grey, Sweet Corn, Choco Matcha, Strawberry 2. Specialty Drinks: Cream Top Latte / Dirty Peanut Cream Latte / Matcha Duo Scones have a nice crumbly structure and satisfying bite that pairs well with caffeine. Most of the scones taste as advertised. Lemon early grey lacks early grey flavor and Choco matcha lacks matcha flavor. Sweet corn flavor is too subtly and needs to be stronger. Happy with the drinks - solid coffee and matcha taste across the three we ordered. Peanut cream latte is good/on the much sweeter, decadent side so would only recommend it for serious sweet tooths. No issues with service. Decent amount of seating for small groups inside but this place is still viral so probably plan to order to-go.

We came on a Saturday around 10:30 AM and the parking lot was full as was the store. The line was at the door when we arrived but moved quickly. I watched the other customers like a hawk in order to snag a table. However, by the time we left (around 11:30 AM) there was practically no line and there were still plenty of scones available in all varieties. I was excited to try the matcha duo (matcha latte with matcha cream on top) and it was as good as expected. We shared the following scones amongst 3 adults and a tiny human: black sesame, injeolmi, lemon earl grey, sweet corn, choco matcha, and strawberry. I came back another time and also tried the raspberry butter scone. My favorite scone was the lemon earl grey because I liked the lemony flavor but the earl grey wasn't noticeable. The choco matcha was the only one without cream on top and was dry compared to the others and could have had more matcha flavor. In general all of the scones had more flavor with the cream but when eaten without it was lacking flavor. Overall, this is a nice find in the suburbs and different since it specializes in scones if that's up your alley.

The wait here was a bit on the longer side. Also the pastries looked really good but they are actually really hard to eat and not that good. I got the matcha and strawberry ones. The strawberry matcha was really good and I would get that again.

I hate to bring down the mood, but I thought this place was just okay. We are spoiled for choice when it comes to cafes and bakeries around here, and compared to the many other places I frequent, Blessing didn't quite earn a spot in my regular rotation. The first thing to notice is it has a relatively limited menu. One could rather say it has a "specialized" menu. Either way, we were able to try a good number of the scones and drinks on offer. For my tastes, I didn't find anything I tried here to be preferable to my regular haunts. My sister got the Duo Matcha, which I thought was good, but not a revelation like I was expecting from some of these reviews. I got the Cream Top Latte for myself. When they handed it to me, I was advised not to use a straw, and to just sip it from the top. However, the cream top blocked most of the drink coming through, like when you have too much ice and can't get to the liquid, and the liquid that did make it through was pretty bitter. So, contrary to instructions, I stirred everything up with a straw and that made it a lot better. For me, though, it still wasn't my favorite drink, being a bit too sharp and bitter even after stirring. It could totally be a preference thing, as I do prefer my coffee more mellow and sweet (though I don't like a sugar bomb). FYI, you can't sub Oat Milk in this particular drink, in case you were wondering. We also got a bunch of scones to try, and these again were not to my particular taste. As others mentioned, the scones skew dry, crumbly, and hard. I think this is an intentional, stylistic choice, and probably allows for a more consistent product regardless of how long these scones sit out behind the counter. Again, for me, this is just not the texture I like for my scones. To their credit, the scones did each have a distinct flavor profile, so it's not like they were lazy hard lumps. Just not overall what I hope for in a scone. The whipped cream on top was probably the best part, and I think the hard scone texture actually worked okay with the savory scone we tried (Tomato Basil) - it registered as more biscuit-like in the savory profile, and I guess that was less offensive to me somehow. I think the buzz here is mainly thanks to the Instagram aesthetic of the food and drinks. The presentation especially shines if you dine in, because your peanut latte will come in a glass lined with peanut shavings, and your scones will look very cute all together on the tray. That said, I was visiting with a big group, and this place was slammed at opening time on a Saturday morning, so we just took our order to go. There must have been a healthy line waiting at the door before this place even opened at 10am, because we got there pretty much at opening time and it was fairly jam-packed. We probably waited about 20 minutes in line, and to their credit, we got what we ordered very quickly thereafter (with the scones sitting out already made, that probably helps with the turnaround time). Maybe if someone else wants to come here again, I will give it another shot and finally see the light. But for now I am merely satisfied that I was able to try something new.

The waffle was pretty small, palm size, and the original one was served in the circular paper coffee cup holder, which is hilarious. The one with icecream was okay. Can't really taste the green tea flavor. Neither was super expensive but still probably not worth the price. Husband got a lavender latte subbed out with oat milk and it was pretty good but not impressive. Not too much lavender flavor but might not be a bad thing cuz some lavender flavor is too overpowering or artificial. This place is just ok. Since my main goal was to have a great dessert, I reversed my thought process and started looking for the best dessert restaurants that happened to be near excellent savory food as well. This led me to discovering Melt N Dip. While most dessert spots have a display case of locally bought bakery items, or a small set of options made in-house, Melt N Dip goes overboard with a huge selection of crepes, cookies, waffles, cake, gelato, milkshakes, fresh fruit, cheesecake, and more! This is incredible for someone like me who gets easily tired of monotony, since I can make many visits here and try something new each time with friends. The restaurant is on a great spot, close to the main road but far away from the H-Mart to avoid cross traffic. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself is large, with very comfortable seating, and social media worthy decor. Service is quick and friendly, and prices may look a little high -- but once you see the size of the product and the quality of ingredients used, and the freshness of the fruit -- you'll realize that the value provided here is much better than similar items that you may get elsewhere. On this trip, I was able to try the Brownies Magic and Melt N Dip waffle. Both were excellent in their own way. The brownie was super soft and decadent, full of chocolate flavor. The gelato was smooth, creamy, flavorful and very refined. The fresh strawberries helped to tame down the overall sweetness of the dish, which was anchored by a base of delicious milk chocolate. The milk, dark, and white chocolate on top helped to tie everything together with a great burst of flavor and nice consistency. The waffle was maybe even the bigger surprise - as this came on a huge plate with lots of fresh pineapple, bananas, strawberries, and kiwi. One of my favorite things to do when on a cruise boat is to have fresh fruit with waffles, and this was an elevated version of that experience. Though the waffle wasn't really crisp, it accomplished exactly what it needed to by holding a generous amount of milk, dark, and while chocolate to pair with the fresh fruit. This was a phenomenal combination that has made me question if I'll ever look at similar options at a fondue spot or fancy brunch the same again. Overall, phenomenal desserts at a reasonable price. The fresh fruit and chocolate quality really shines and I have full confidence that everything else they serve here will match the same level of quality. This is a must return spot for me that is worth a special trip whenever I'm craving quality, consistency, and an impressive dessert experience.
