We'd just visited Lascaux II and thought we'd wing it for dinner, see what would pop up. So to discover such a wonderful little place with such a random method was amazing.
They offered a pizza Salignacoise and I figured I'd try the hometown dish... but the description says it has duck bacon? I check with the waitress and she confirms...duck bacon. At this point I have no idea what I'm in for but I'm game.
The pizza isn't just good it's mind blowing. I COULD NOT believe how good it was. It was more food than I planned on eating but there was no way I was giving any of this back. And then I try my wife's gallette savoyarde. Oh you've got to kidding me!! It's a loving, heaping pile of savory crepe, porky goodness. After these two home runs naturally the cider is delicious and the waitress is drop dead gorgeous and the view was sweet, low key, French beautiful.
I think I have a new favorite French restaurant! read more
