    Pancake Mango

The Yelp feature that notifies when to join the waitlist is a lifesaver! Parking lot is on the smaller side, but not difficult. The Hostess was very welcoming and accommodating! The restaurant from the outside is beautiful with a tropical themed mural; designated areas are clearly labeled as "Dine-In" and "To-Go". The inside is also very intricate with beautiful colors. Fourth of July weekend possibly brought a bigger influx so the noise level was pretty high, but we were still able to hold a conversation. The mango pancakes were spectacular with a generous serving size. Sweet, but not too sweet along with fresh strawberries. Iced Horchata Latte was able to be made with oatmilk rather than regular milk. I appreciate how the servers ask for sweetness preference when it comes to their coffees. The pancakes were around ~$18 and the Iced Horchata Latte (~$8) + oatmilk ($1 for the substitution). I would strongly recommend checking Café Kacao out!! The Yelp waitlist is pretty accurate and the Café does it best to update any changes.

The food and drink selection is extensive--I was honestly a bit overwhelmed because everything sounded so good! I ultimately chose the Tikal with a café de olla since I was in the mood for something less sweet. The meal was generous, flavorful, and came with your choice of flour or corn tortillas, chorizo, carne asada, plantains, eggs, and black beans. Every bite was delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to come back a second time, but unfortunately didn't have the chance. If you're in town, I definitely recommend stopping by. The restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere, and the beautifully presented drinks are just as colorful and inviting as the space itself.

Cafe Kacao is simply the best -- 10/10 across the board. The food is incredible and the drinks are just as amazing. I had the pupusas, the best carajillo I've ever had, and a chocolate espresso martini that was absolutely perfect. Everything was flavorful and worth the hype. One thing to know: this place is very popular, so make sure you join the waitlist early. I joined just before 8am and didn't get seated until around 11am. Even with the wait, it was 100% worth it and I'd absolutely come back.

Came here from a local's recommendation and really enjoyed it. Excellent artwork, ambiance, and service. Lots of menu options. I'm writing this review a bit delayed but I remember really loving the house made tortillas stuffed with beans that came with my Moteleño. They were thicker than I've had in the past and it was the perfect finishing touch for me. I've been craving it ever since. Great veggie options. My mom's chicken dish was also great. The wild berry pancakes were just ok in my opinion. I think I was expecting a bit more of a tres leches type taste with the lechera sauce which is my bad just not having ever had it before. Got it as a dessert. It's not that sweet if that's what you're looking for, but if you want a not-too-sweet option then it could be perfect. It was very beautiful. Would absolutely go back here. Service was again wonderful.

My friend brought me here for brunch before dropping me off at the airport, and I'm glad this was my last meal in OKC! I ordered a Horchata Latte, and we both shared one sweet and one savory dish. Mango Pancakes - these pancakes are the fluffiest you'll ever have! Drizzled with house-made lechera and blackberry bourbon sauce, and topped with mango and berries. Vaca Frita Pupusas - perfect for sharing, this comes with two cheese and pork pupusas topped with Cuban style grilled shredded beef and onions, two eggs, hollandaise, and chicharron crumbles. This was SO good and it would be hard to convince me to order something else if I'm ever in OKC again!

YES, you should eat here...But if you're reading this, make sure you prepare yourself for the Waitlist. This is an award winning restaurant for a reason and it's tiny! But if you play your cards right, you'll get in and enjoy a delicious meal. After hearing about this place for years, my cousin and I decided to give the waitlist a try for an 11am target on a Thursday. I put my name in around 9:30am and saw I was on the queue. It worked out as we checked in and got in around 11:15am. They have takeout if you don't want to wait! Now the FOOD. Wait, first the strawberry-banana smoothie was HUGE and so delicious. Not overly sweet. Same for the latte my cousin got - how do they make it so perfect?! We ordered the Carne Asada lunch and French Toast with fresh berries and sliced bananas to share. Everything was full of flavor and seasoned to perfection. The French Toast is coated and slightly crunchy. I would agree the food is worth the hype. The decor is bright and colorful. It's loud so don't expect a quiet experience. Enjoy the positive energy of the spot, it goes with the food! Service was excellent and helpful if you're a newbie. I hope all Oklahomies and visitors get a chance to experience this wonderful gem of a restaurant.

Cafe Kacao is one of my must try breakfast places in OKC. It's always so good and the portions are enormous. My favorite is the berry pancake, but I love trying some of their savory dishes as well. They just remodeled the restaurant and it's so nice inside. The staff is always super friendly. The main drawback of this place is you cannot casually go on a weekend. You *have* to put your name on the waitlist. My friends and I put our name on at 7:45 and got seated about 11. So you have to be prepared. The waitlist is pretty accurate so as long as you watch it you should know when to leave your house. The wait is always worth it!

Flowers well deserved (claps) I have had this place on my radar for a while due to Yelp's top brunch spots a couple years back. After trying it for myself, it will also be going on my personal list of most memorable brunch spots! Ambiance: place was packed with customers, but we did not feel squished, and our server was a literal ray of sunshine (I wish I could shout out but I forgot their name). He was very thorough and happy to answer our questions about their menu, drinks, and recommendations. I do recommend calling ahead and getting on the waitlist though. The food came in massive (**massive**) portions, definitely delivering on the value front. The pancakes (3/5) were a bit underwhelming (soft and one note, but it was saved by the blueberry topping and mango compote. The softness and fluffiness may be a plus for some, but I prefer a bit more substance and flavor for mine! The burrito (5/5) was amazing, all the sauces were phenomenal (no notes), and the coffee (4/5) was pretty good Definitely got to try a lot of flavors that I normally do not get to at a brunch spot. I love the way that they served Guatemalan flavors in a very accessible and fun way. Most of all, the pride and excitement with which everything was presented was infectious and made for a great experience.

Brunch and lattes! Had such a wonderful brunch. I had never been until this visit - it was totally packed! It brought so much joy to see the restaurant filled with so many happy people enjoying brunch, dining with others and just having an overall great time. The vibe is so wonderful the energy throughout the venue gets you pumped for the rest of your day! Everything was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly even though we know they were so busy they never once let it get in the way of their service or customer service by any means. We are super appreciative and can't wait to go back to enjoy more wonderful food!

Delicious food & coffee!! It may be a wait but well worth it! A Bucket List brunch spot for every OKC visit!!!

Amazing everything! The Bloody Mary was dressed beautifully and tasted spot on. The menu is brilliant showing all the details of the food. Speaking about the food, it's worth the hype. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere was vibrant, with a coastal cafe feeling. Check in for a seat for a shorter wait time once you check in with the host

Passing through OKC on a cross country drive from LA and saw this on Yelp 100. Super cute interior, very buzzy (Tuesday morning at 10am and it was full!), wonderful service! We got puppoosa and cochinita pibil. Both very good and huge portions. The pibil had nice texture but I wish there was a bit more spice or acidity.l (if you know Guisados in LA you will understand!). Coffee was very good. Definitely a standout spot in a city that feels mostly bar / steakhouse oriented - although I hear there's great Vietnamese here.

Drinks we started with Inca Kola (lemonade) and Maracuya (Mango Juice). These were a great starter, not tarts but not overly sweet. As an appetizer we got Patacones con ceviche de camaron. These are fried plantains like chips, topped with shrimp and an amazing sauce that will make your mother water. It's served warm and best to be picked up and eaten. This will get you ready for your entree. For a fish entree we had Ceviche de pescado. This is a dish with fish and corn in lemon juice and hot peppers. It's served cold on a bed of lettuce with sweet potato slices. It's very easy on the eyes, flavorful, good mix between the fish and red onions. The sweet potatoes gave it a good contracting flavor. Best eaten with the hot peppers and lemon juice. Our final entree was Lomo Saltado. This is a beef dish served over beans and tomatoes with rice, red onions and cilantro sauce. I put a bed of rice down, covered with onion, then beans, then the beef (which had the most amazing tenderness) and topped with the cilantro sauce. The sauce pulls the whole meal together, and all the flavors works amazingly with each other. Finally we finished with Flan Lucuma. Picture traditional flan but instead of a caramel type topping it was covered in a Peruvian fruit juice that gave it some amazing flavor and not an overpowering sweet. We will definitely be back for more. The staff were so sweet and kind. Very helpful and helped us pick out some great choices. You won't be disappointed.

They have the robot that brings out food for you like at certain hot pot restaurants. The robot was not precise and it would stop at random table instead of the exact table where it should be. The el mar which is a seafood combination dish and included lobster tail, shrimps, and a piece of salmon. The dish was really cheap, only $23.99. The shrimps and salmon were good. The lobster tail was not the most fresh. The meat at body end was soft/soggy. The mixed vegetables were frozen vegetables. Please never ever use frozen mixed vegetables. I would rather pay a little more for fresh vegetables. I didn't quite understand the use of salsa as there were no chips for it. There were tortillas but salsa and tortillas don't go together, am I right? Who knows? I didn't touch neither. This restaurant also has burgers, steaks, and pasta which I haven't tried. I feel like wether you give this a 4 or 5 stars all come down to what you order. An incorrect order will automatically knock it down to 4 stars. It is such a cool restaurant though.
