For lunch we had the bruschetta and gnocchi. It was exactly what I had been craving. We returned with friends in the evening and enjoyed the salmon, roasted rosemary potatoes, bolognese and pizza. Everyone enjoyed every bit! The best pizza I have had in a long time. The crust tasted good and was perfectly cooked. I have to mention the wait staff at lunch and dinner were excellent! Very helpful and I was impressed at the number of languages one of the young ladies spoke. They all seemed to enjoy working there. That made the atmosphere very pleasant.

Café Beluna comes to the rescue with its Italian food and half a dozen coffee drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted for indoors. We were attended by a gentleman (possibly the owner) and he was impressive. He kept switching amongst German, Italian, and English, depending on who he was speaking to. I started with a cappuccino, my companion with a Coke. We then opted to split a pizza as I saw some people order it and it just looked amazing. Well, the size was decent. Not too small, not too big. Perfect for two who want dessert and to be able to walk around after. As for dessert, this is the real showstopper and the real reason I'm rating as highly as I am. I ordered an apple strudel, and point blank, it's the love of my life. I keep thinking and dreaming and remembering this strudel and it's going to be two months since I left Austria soon. My stomach weeps at the absence of this apple strudel. I'm dying to learn to make one, but still... I don't think it will compare. The food while delicious pales in comparison to their strudel. Heck, I know they have other desserts, but when something enraptures your sense like that apple strudel, well, that says it all. The end.

very mixed feelings after 2 visits first the GOOD:…read more- very good pastries - nice space, with lots of tables, inside and on the terrace - great play area for kids - a castle decor with hiding places - outside - seems to bve popular with resident kids as well as visiting families - open late (i think the latest we went was after 10pm) - very reasonably priced (talking about the pastry shop - we didn't stay in the hotel or have food there) - free wifi - 2 very nice ladies waited on us. completely the opposite attitude compared to our first visit - read below: the BAD: - on our first visit we were served by a young lady - who we assumed was not an employee - she really didn't give a crap about customer service - maybe a relative of the owners? Anyway, she was very annoyed by a simple request for a glass of water with ice... all said and done though, this is the only game in town when it comes to late evening pastries, and is not bad at all. I am not deducting a star for that young girl's behavior since I am sure it was a fluke. Owners, if you read this, please don't let her tend shop without some proper training or motivation.
