This is what I experienced at the Coogee Cafe. I don't mean to say that the place didn't look nice, but the staff were friendly and provided good service, while clearly enjoying each others company as well. I just had a cappuccino, which was great, but it does not leave me a whole lot to review regarding food or drink, but It was an environement I enjoyed a lot and you don't get that everywhere.

The coffee was predictably awful. It's like buying a coffee at the airport- I KNOW these things so why do I do them? My toasted sandwich however was aces. And to be fair given that the Cosmo IS so old school Italian maybe they do an alright coffee for other people but refuse to give a soy piccallo the love and attention it deserves. The place itself is quite minimalist, which is something that I also really like, especially when it is done well, as is the case here. Not only that, but it is quite relaxing and laid back, though it did turn out that I was here in the early afternoon when it happened to be reasonably quiet. Still, a nice place for a coffee.

Run by the amazing Suzie and her brilliant team, Sisterfox aways produces high quality espresso and home made delicious (albeit simple) food. For $5 I can get my morning ristretto which is made on a different bean each day (delicious, fun and educational!) and morning picollo! When the team at Sisterfox sees me coming they know what I have and begin to get it ready! Such amazing customer service! Without doubt my coffee is ALWAYS delicious! Quality is something that is synonymous with the team here and although their food is simple (the focus is on the coffee) it is honestly YUM! The BAT sandwich, pulled pork burger or homemade muffins (often GF/DF) are the perfect compliment to their well made coffee.
