I started following them on social media, specifically Instagram, when they popped up, promoting some sort of book club activity. It sounded like something I'd be interested in the future, so I made sure to keep tabs on this place. While scrolling I saw they were having a perfume pop-up, and I didn't have any plans that afternoon, so I figured it was a good time to finally check it out. I made sure to skip lunch so that I'd have room for coffee and a pastry while I was there. The space is definitely cozy and it feels like you're hanging out in someone's living room. I ordered just a simple cappuccino and an apple danish which was warmed up for me. The woman at the counter told me I can have a seat, and that she would bring it over to me. I decided on a seat in a separate room, where there were small tables so that I can put my food and drink down, and because I had brought a book. The perfume was set up nearby, and I had a nice conversation with that woman, as well. There was a band setting up, but I did not have a chance to hang around and listen. The danish was very good and so was my coffee. They post on their social media often and it seems they have a lot of cool stuff going on. I hung around for about one hour and it was only later that I saw online that they have things for purchase, so I will definitely have to return and browse. I'm excited that Meriden has this cool spot and I'm really looking forward to visiting more often.

Onto the food - I chose a breakfast wrap, and my husband the hot honey chicken sandwich. My breakfast wrap was sausage, egg, and cheese. The wrap came with avocado which I dont like. The women at the register offered me a hash brown instead which worked great. Between the iced coffee and the wrap it was a hearty breakfast. My husband enjoyed the hot honey on his sandwich. And was surprised he liked the bun. Crumbs is small on the inside. So its not the spot for a group. However You and a Friend, or You and Your Sister can hang out for a while.

For coffee, I got the nitro cold brew with their seasonal cold foam, which was blackberry flavored. It was tasty but the ratio of coffee to foam was a bit off, with only about half the cup filled with coffee and the rest foam. You can either order at the counter and seat yourself in the little cafe area, or sit in the restaurant for full service. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

This spot just opened up in October 2025 and they deserve all the love. Their drinks are delicious and they have many seasonal flavors. The teenage staff working here are super friendly, knowledgeable and ready to offer suggestions. On the walls they have very interesting artwork. The bottom half of their framed artwork is painted a single color, together with the frame. I have never seen this before. At first I thought they were trying to disguise something on the painting using tape, but it's actually paint. This is consistent among all of their paintings. Our coffees were very tasty, naturally very sweet, but very well crafted. The waffle was a bit too dry for my preference. After doing some other things in the area, we returned for lunch. We got Avocado Toast and a Sweet Potato Quesadilla. First, the portion size of the quesadilla was plenty big for us two. This was a tortilla filled with sweet potatoes, mozzarella, spinach and cheddar. It was very thin and very warm and melty. I've never had sweet potato in a quesadilla before, this whole combo had me licking my fingers. The Avocado Toast was another winner. Eatery is also in Wallingford, and Giv's flagship is in Canton. Eatery has some traditional and creative sandwiches. They also have bowls, salads, etc. This is a dream collaboration between one of my favorite Sandwich Plus Shops, and one of my favorite New England Coffee Roasters Giv. I've been a few times already. On the sandwich side, I've had an Eatery BEC and a Chipotle Roast Beef Melt. Both on fresh ciabatta. I believe The Eatery uses "Bread and Chocolate" Ciabatta out of Hamden. The ingredients of the sandwiches were high quality, and the sandwiches are reasonably priced. Also, if you like sweet and sour pickles, The Eatery House Pickles are amazing. I've had 3 Black Cold Brews now. With the Giv beans, the coffee was top notch. Service was friendly. I'm a big fan of the Eatery owners. They set a great tone for the vibe of a cafe. The space is very nice and there is over 180 degrees of windows and natural light. There is plenty of comfortable seating. There is outdoor seating as well. As a special treat they are the only restaurant that offers a variety of sour dough breads prepared by a local baker - Try their cheddar bacon toast with your meal.
