I tried the Republika, which has a bit of confiture/jam in it, and it was oh-so-tasty. Thick hot dark chocolate with bits of fruit adding texture and a subtle hint of flavor. This is one of the gems of Poznan and during the weekend you need to be lucky to get a table as most of the people will call ahead to reserve, even more if you are a group of more than 2. They have so many variety of hot chocolate drinks that you can come here a few times and still find new flavours. They also have coffee/ice cream/cakes etc but the speciality is hot chocolate (hence the name Cacao Republica). Lines are HUGE, specially on weekends. We shared a cayenne pepper and plum tart for dessert (not spicy, but the heat enhances the sweetness of the plums). We all had tea, but I decided to be adventurous and get the chili and chocolate tea. This tea wasn't hot at all, but it did satisfy a sweet tooth without any added sugar. The quality of the food is consistent. All the locations are clean and bright and service is friendly. What else could you want?
