My fiancé got buzzed pretty good. LOL.

My fiancé and I have never been here before. We were going to go to Pepe's across the street but it looked kind of ragged. So we saw this place and thought, why not? Our waiter was Juan. He was very nice and he said he was making our drinks. Well, other than not having a traditional margarita glass...they were very good. The chips appeared to be homemade and the salsa was very good. They kept up on our chips and salsa (we were very hungry). She had tacos and I had a steak burrito sulzo style. It was ok. Had better but had worse as well. The ambiance was okay. I have been to Fat Rosie's and they kind of ruined it for everyone else in the ambiance department. It is fantastic there.

Very clearly frozen chicken strips that you'll pay $20 for maybe 5 in the whole cursed burrito, flooded with sour cream

I thought La Chilanguita in Lyons was the worst burrito I had, this place superseded that. I paid extra for the "grilled" meat version, a $20 dollar burrito that turned out to be the frozen chicken strips one would find at Walmart. This burrito was halfway filled, and mostly SOUR CREAM per my attached pics. This was my 2nd chance with this joint, I had tried the mahi mahi tacos previously which had scant shreds of fish which I am certain were NOT actually mahi mahi. And a crappy steak and mushroom quesadilla. Previous unhappy reviewers mentioned the owner had run the Pepe's across the street and the quality aligns. Also, for this place being called Cafe SALSA , they occasionally throw in salsa and chips (didn't even get any last time) which are very bland, and they will give you NO hot sauce with your order, wtf. Go to Taco Taco, Cocula, even Chipotle would be better if u need to stay local. No idea how this place stays in business

Now you're talking!! Great neighborhood Mexican restaurant with great food and libations....and a professional, friendly staff too! As you walk in you're greeted with a smile and the aroma of delicious food. Your drink order is taken and HOT tortilla chips are placed on your table with an array of hot to mild dipping sauces. I love their fish tacos and my husband loves their fabulous dinner choices. It's a happy atmosphere with families and couples on dates (remember those) alike. Just try it and I know you'll go back again and again. Adios!

Our food was good and the service was quick on a Tuesday night. The chips they gave before the meal were hot and tasted fresh! Tuesday nights they have a 2 entree + 1 dessert special for $25 which was an excellent value. Would come back again!

Cafe salsa used to be a gold mine and now it's very hit and miss. Sadly more often then not the take away is a miss but in house is a hit still. The interior vibe is great and the moods always high. Hard to have a bad time with the service and vibes

The tasty taco bar take out for my daughter's birthday was a big hit. The chicken tacos were especially good and it came with so much food - several salsas, cheese, lettuce, beans, chips - the works! We had food for days

Good service received here yesterday although the quality if food items received were marginal as far as taste and temperature. Not enjoyable eating a cold tamale..Chips and salsa were good as was the margarita. Other food item were just okay. Perhaps we need to try this place again on a future visit when things are back to some sense of normal after COVID 19...

    Yummy!

I was looking for something warm and flavorful after a long day, and chicken fajitas seemed like the perfect choice. I also ordered a side of rice and sour cream, but upon seeing how large of an amount of food was delivered, I think I may have been able to get by without the additional sides! The chicken fajitas meal included a generous amount of seasoned chicken, refried beans, rice, sour cream, lettuce, a flavorful side sauce, and flour tortillas. There were enough ingredients to make many delicious wraps! The best part of this dish was the chicken, extremely flavorful and well cooked! The flavors all blended together and everything tasted fresh and enjoyable. The tortillas, the flavor of the chicken and the standard sides created a very scrumptious meal! The only downside was that the delivery of my Uber Eats was a bit longer than I expected. However, the food was still great and enjoyed upon arrival. I would definitely be willing to order from Fajitas Mexican Restaurant again, however, I believe I would try dining in on the next occasion to enjoy the meal fresh from the kitchen!

Two sides - low tables when you walk in, higher tables to the right in another room. We sat by ourselves at a comfortable low table. Everything was to our liking. This is an updated review, and unfortunately I'm writing this with a great deal of disappointment…read morebecause my previous experiences at La Cabanita had always been enjoyable. The food is normally very good and we've had many great visits over the years. This time, however, things were different. The experience itself wasn't up to the standards I've come to expect, but what really left me stunned happened afterward. Like many people, I was reconciling my monthly expense report and happened to compare my receipt to what was actually charged to my card. My signed receipt, including tip, clearly showed $69.99. However, when I checked my statement, I was charged $72.78. Now, we're not talking about some life-changing amount of money. It's only a few dollars. But that's almost what makes it worse. It wasn't some outrageous charge that immediately jumps out at you. It felt... sneaky. Maybe there's an explanation, and I sincerely hope there is, because it appears that Jose added a little something extra for himself after the fact. I honestly don't even know what to do. The amount isn't going to bankrupt me, but that's not really the point. When you trust a restaurant with your card, you expect the amount you signed for and the amount you're charged to be exactly the same. That's a pretty basic expectation. What makes this especially disappointing is that La Cabina Villa has always been one of my go-to places. I've recommended it to family and friends and have had many enjoyable meals there. A bad night in the kitchen can happen. Service issues can happen. But losing trust is much harder to recover from. At this point, I'm less angry than I am genuinely disappointed and confused. I never thought I'd find myself double-checking charges from a place I've enjoyed for years. Hopefully management can investigate this situation and provide some answers, because right now this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.

The food, service, and ambience were truly amazing. I don't say that lightly about many places…read more Let's start with the food: it was very well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were generous. This ties into the excellent service, as the food came out relatively quickly. The staff was friendly and engaged in conversation. One standout employee, Jose, continually checked to ensure that we had everything we needed and addressed any issues we had promptly. The ambience was clean, with staff wearing gloves while cooking. They were consistently cleaning, wiping down tables, and sweeping the floors. These are just a few aspects I look for when visiting a restaurant or food establishment.
