Starter bread was delicious. Food was pretty good. Big portions for the entrees and affordable pricing. Very good service. The inside seems a bit old however.

Love love this restaurant! Service is always incredible, never rushed. Food is outstanding- great price for huge portions.

Paella Vallenciana - enjoyed everything but the scallops (a little rubbery)

We tried Cafe Sport because I had a $25 certificate from Restaurants.com. I'm glad we gave this place a chance. The food was good and the service was exemplary! From the fresh basket of bread they put on the table to the delicious White Sangria, our meal got started off on the right food. We shared the Paella Valenciana which was enormous and mixed grill (sausage, skirt steak and chicken with rice and veggies) which we took home because we didn't have much room after the paella and bread. We had flan and a traditional caramel cream dessert...translated into English, I believe it was called "Camel's Drool." Don't let the gross name fool you--this dessert was light, airy, sweet creamy and decadent. So glad we tried it! After the $25 certificate our dinner for two was $57 plus tip. The dining room is small ad you have to walk through the bar to get there, but it's worth it.

My wife and I had a $25 coupon for Cafe Sport which sounds like a sport bar but it's not. When we walked in we had to walk the length of the bar to get to the dining room. The dining room had a very nice inviting feel to it like in a fine restaurant. It was small but very lively with several parties and there was only one table available. It was Saturday night so of course they were busy. I guess we got lucky. We had to wait a few minutes for our table because the only people we saw was the bartender and one waiter. You can see they were short handed and working very hard and our waiter had mentioned to us they were short some staff that night. Even though they were shorted handed they treated us like regulars with a warm friendly welcome and it continued through the night. We started with a half pitcher of Sangria, very good. For our main course I had the Frango A Chefe, a Sauteed breast of chicken with mushroom sauce garnished with shrimp and wife had the Paelha Marinheira, a Seafood combination in saffron rice. Even though we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food it came out very hot and it was excellent. This is a Portuguese restaurant and it seems to be a hidden gem. I wish I could have eaten more because the appetizers and deserts looked amazing. Next time I may just order an appetizer and desert. After dinner we handed our waiter the coupon and when we handed him the money to pay he shook bought our hands and thanked us for coming and being patient. He had no idea of how much of a tip we had left him but of course we tipped him on what the bill would have been before the discount and we were generous because he deserved it. My wife and I had a pleasant evening and we could see so was everyone else in the dining room. We would definitely go back and tell others this is a place to try.

Small Portuguese restaurant with good portions. The wait for food was almost over an hour and the food was okay. The service wasn't that great or anything special. We ordered paella and the chocolate cake. The paella was a bit too soupy for me, but the chocolate cake was dense and delicious. Good portions for the kinda expensive price. The wait for food is the worst part however but I would come back to try it again.

Shrimp in Garlic Sauce appetizer.

Went here for the first time in a long time and was looking forward to some good Portuguese food. Unfortunately, this was not the night at Cafe Sport. We started with the shrimp in garlic sauce. The shrimp were small and the garlic sauce was bland. The dish was very underwhelming. For her main course, my wife had the pork and clams. This dish is a favorite of ours Cafe Sports was very good. Actually, it was the best dish of the night. I had the seafood I. Green sauce. Once again, the sauce was bland. The seafood was also disappointing. I would have given Cafe Sport two stars, but the service was good and the restaurant was very pleasant. All in all, a very disappointing night at Cafe Sport. There are too many good Portuguese restaurants nearby to give here another try. Sorry, Cafe Sport.

Great meal starting with clams and chorizo. I had a dish of filet of sole with banana, unique and tasty. Husband had pasta primavera and loved it.Nice bottle of alvarinho at reasonable price.

Read the cup and say it with me "Tatte like latte." That's just in case you don't know how to…read morepronounce this cute coffee/bakery/food spot. However it's said, an easy statement would be that it's quite tasty and for sure a good location to check out, which is what I did with my mother last week. Walking up and into Tatte might give you some retro NYC vibes, but the place actually originated outside of the Empire State. You'd never know because the white-tiled look definitely feels like something classy and Manhattan-originated. Luckily, the pricing isn't necessarily city level as Tatte has a large menu of baked goods, actual meal options, and coffee choices all at around what you'd probably expect to pay for a place like this. The setup when first ordering is a little chaotic if there are a lot of people figuring out what to get between menu viewing and the glass case of premade baked items, but once you do get your order going you can find a table and sit with your number while you wait for your goods. For me, I got my coffee right away as it was a cold brew that was able to be made there. Twas a special at the time, an orange blossom vanilla cold foam cold brew. Was it unique? For sure. Did it entirely land? Not sure. I did try a sip of my mother's caramel latte and that seemed pretty legit. What was also legit was the grub. We each ordered a halloumi sunny-side breakfast sandwich which was delicious (though a tad more halloumi would've been perfection). Close to perfection as well was the pistachio croissant we shared. I definitely see the level of quality coming through in a spot like this. Overall, Tatte has some solid aspects working for it with plenty to love. Coffee seemed quality, food was fantastic, and the setup was great, though the blasting 80s music, despite totally in my wheelhouse, might have thrown the vibes off a tad. Either way, Tatte has what you're looking for, though personally, Garden City is a little far for me to get to these days. If Tatte does ever expand out east, you know I'll be pronouncing that name very often.

Both were delicious and not too sweet. The donut muffin tasted like cinnamon and the texture is more like cake donut. The blueberry scone was also good, there were so many blueberries inside and was not too sweet which I loved. I was hard to choose which ones to buy since the other pastries looked good as well. For other pastries, they had cookies, pies and breads. I would definitely come again and try other pastries and drinks :) their pastries were very affordable so I would recommend you to try if you haven't visited!

They have a great selection of bread, baked goods, tortes (some gluten free), and seasonally decorated packaged treats - iced heart-shaped sugar cookies, and even football-shaped foil-wrapped chocolates for Super Bowl. Between the treats, jarred jams, and quality kitchen linens-- I could definitely see stopping by here to get something to bring to a party, for a host/house-warming gift, and/or a care package! I opted for the blueberry biscuit because it was something I haven't seen before, and no regrets! It was soft and buttery without being overly sweet. I also got a cold brew with almond milk and (as a bit of a coffee snob) I found it was a little bitter but still good. Free wifi is available and two single-person unisex restrooms are available in the store. A gentle forewarning for the anxious... the yelp description of "inside a charming sneaker store" is a bit of an understatement... It is inside a very high end store, a bit of a maze, laden with security personnel (located in a strip mall of many other high end designer stores)... I thought my GPS took me to the wrong location at first. The pin on the map makes it seem like it's on the side closer to the highway, but you'll want to go around to the back, to the lot on the other side of the strip (further from the highway) for direct access to the coffee shop entrance. Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the warm sun and glimmer of a rainbow shining through the giant window
