It was raining, so we ate in the upstairs restaurant. They surely made the most of their space! The bathroom under the stairs had a door blocked about a quarter of the way up by the stairs themselves. In the restaurant, there were only two other taken tables at the time, but if it were a full house this place would be an acoustic nightmare and we'd all be fighting for space and oxygen. The service was meh, but a bottle of wine can fix that. The menu was also meager - only 5 items to select from, but they were the specials of the day and prepared fresh so everything on that teeny tiny menu was incredible. As for the meal - YUM. I had the fresh pasta with locally made pesto. I may or may not have licked the plate. The focaccia with olive oil was a delicious accompanyment and I could have subsited the rest of my trip on that alone. We also sampled the roasted vegetable platter with cheese - also wonderful. Bottom line: If you have the time to just enjoy yourself, this will be a wonderful meal.
