The food was great and for the price, very inexpensive. The bread that came with my soup was homemade and seriously one of the best breads I have ever had, let alone at some random pub! I also had this nice beer called Wieckse which is a nice white beer if thats your thing. The atmosphere here is very chill and easy going, good place to go with friends or for a few hours of drinking/eating and talking. Overall I say this place is nice, relaxed and I would recommend it to anyone staying or living in Amsterdam :-)

He came back and said they'd make it without potatoes; I asked if the potatoes could be made plain, and he looked confused. He ended up asking for the paper after all and took it back to the kitchen. A good 30 minutes later, I got my dish - sea bream with some kind of sauce, mangetout, rocket and a side of roasted potatoes. It was alright; nothing amazing but I appreciate the care they our into assuring it was safe for me to eat. I had to ask to get the paper back; it has a greasy handprint now but at least I can continue safely eating for the rest of my trip.
