Finding a lunch spot after 2:00 was easier than expected because of our location. Temple Bar had a nicely priced special of the day lunch menu. Light crowd being mid day. Impressive allegiance to showing football matches, with the entire international, Champions and Premier League viewing schedule mapped out for the month, available in paper form on top of the bar. Average pints of Guinness, didn't try the food. More like hanging out in your parents' kitchen or living room than chatting at a pub -- but I think there's a charm to that.

We started with the MANTOVA PUMPKIN FLAN WITH SCALLOP AND SHRIMP RAGOUT. It was light and well flavored. The BOLOGNESE TORTELLINI WITH CREAM, HAM AND PEAS was probably my favorite. The MEZZI PACCHERI PASTA WITH CHEESE AND PEPPER CREAM AND LEMON ZEST was a close second. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces were creamy and delicious. Because I felt as if I need some type of protein with the MEZZI paccheri pasta, we also ordered the SLICED BEEF TENDERLOIN WITH AROMATIC HERBS AND BALSAMIC VINEGAR REDUCTION. Everything was so good. I look forward to returning.
