I have to say, this place is the definition of a hidden gem. It's a small French tapas place off on a side street that unless you were really searching, you would probably walk by it in favor of larger restaurants. I don't know if our waiter was also the owner or the sommelier, but either way, his English was limited. Luckily, my fiancee's sister speaks French so she was able to translate the menu (to an extent). As such, this was a tapas restaurant so everything was small plates and meant to be shared. I don't remember the exact name of everything we ordered, but I remember a Pad Thai, a beef dish, smoked salmon, octopus, and a fried dish (maybe calamari, but I don't remember). The food is excellent and packed with flavor. You'd be surprised how filling these little dishes can be. If you ever come to Paris, I recommend going off the beaten path for this little piece of heaven.

For a super reasonable price, you can get a burger and a dessert/appetizer or the beer of the day for one extra euro. The burger also comes with some fries- you seriously can't go wrong. Now I was starving, but thought the beer sounded like a better idea. That day, it was a blonde. Not a ton of flavor, but satisfying when all I wanted was something to sip on throughout the meal. I got the burger with feta cheese on it, one of my favorite cheeses although I can't say I normally have it on a burger. It came out with a CRAZY thick slice (more like block) of feta on top. This was more than amazing. The fries that came with the burger could have been an entire meal on their own. They were cut thick and very potato-y, which made me happy to realize they were hardly salted. They came with what I assume was a housemate ketchup that I didn't try and some sort of aioli I think that I thought was delicious. Now I'm not sure how burgers in Europe are usually cooked, but this one was near perfect for me. I love a juicy red burger and this one was more on the medium side, but still juicy and full of flavor. The burger and fries were more than enough so if that's the route you're going, definitely get the beer rather than a dessert or appetizer. You'll have plenty of food, I promise. Overall, great meal for a good price. Although I'm sure the rest of the menu is not the same way, the burger and fries were a wonderful American meal. If that's the type of meal you're craving, this is for sure your place.

As a vegetarian, options tend to be limited, and I'm used to that when I travel. The somosas were excellent. The wine equally so. The savory rice was good, it just needed to be paired with some finely seasoned & roasted vegetables - adding a savory sauce to that would have been delicious. What was nice was that the server asked me my suggestions on how they could improve. The pistachio crème brûlée was heaven. I'll find my way back there just for that next time.
