The savory crepe shaped like a burrito.
    Christina M.

This place is a small blue building on the main road. You order from outside due to this establishment being more of a "to go" spot with no access to being inside. If you decide to eat here, they do have umbrellas and benches for you to sit on outside. For parking, there is a lot. There was a line, but it moved quickly. I ordered a savory and a sweet crepe. The sweet crepe with bananas, strawberries, and Nutella was delicious. However, the savory breakfast crepe with egg and cheese barely had any eggs and had way too much cheese. I would not order this again.

We visited Cafe Crepe on our Big Bear trip for a quick desert after our dinner, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! We ordered a strawberry fields forever crepe which included strawberries Nutella or their home made chocolate, we decided to stick with Nutella. The service was smooth & fairly quick from ordering to picking up our food. The cafe has tables & chairs to hang out in the back, we would have loved to take a seat and enjoy the scenery but took our crepe to go! Cant wait to come back and try more crepes & a coffee next time

Changed time but not after I already got there and left, 20 minutes later. It's the time and they're still not ready yet

I thought I was being clever by downloading DoorDash and ordering ahead of time to bypass the stupid long line. Nope. Placed order 9:12 and it says estimated pick up time 9:42. Got there 9:41 and they said it's not ready because I'm early. I asked if they got another Linda in the hopper because I'm a minute off. I showed her my phone at the window and the worker said their iPad shows 10:05. What is the point of having an estimated pick up time when you're 20 minutes off the mark? Oh, and they also ran out of strawberries so my order wouldnt be possible anyway. I ordered my coffee extra hot because I anticipated that if the order didn't work out at least my coffee wouldn't be cold when I get it. I highly recommend doing that because it's the perfect temp upon drinking now. We ordered what they had with bananas and said we'd be back 20 minutes later at 10:05 to pick up. I set my alarm, we walked around and came back 10:05. It's 10:15 and my order is nowhere in sight, except the coffee, which came without whip I had to ask for it and show my phone to prove it. They said it's going to be another 5-10 minutes. Not sure how much longer we got but I could've gone somewhere else to get what I want. Update: order was actually ready in its entirety at 10:30 so you can bank on them being off on time no matter what way you order. they clearly only have 1 crepe making machine. Which makes sense why the orders take so long. Not sure how you can run out of strawberries by 10am when your menu only offers bananas or strawberries, and strawberries don't go bad within a day. Inventory and equipment are an issue here. Not the best crepe I've had, but I can say that at places where I have had good crepes, there's an open kitchen so you can see the person making it on TWO crepe machines. It makes sense to have 2 so that you can make double orders faster (most people come as a pair not solo). Banana slices were cut for someone who has a hella big mouth, quadruple size from what I've seen in a normal crepe. Summary: Look elsewhere for breakfast. Pumpkin latte was okay. CBD shot didnt do anything for me (not their fault) and the whip cream was decent and probably the best part of the pumpkin latte drink I ordered, which isn't saying much. Again, I've had better pumpkin lattes where I can actually taste the pumpkin, unlike here. With how busy they were I wouldn't be surprised they got it wrong and I'm drinking something else entirely. Wanted to like this place but it seems like it's popular because it's the only game in town for crepes

10/10 rec! The food is great, and the team working there is awesome, they are all really nice and super helpful. The crepes are solid, and lots of fun coffee syrup flavors. I prefer to get my drinks half sweet! We hit this place every morning when we're up here.

I can't say enough good things about this cafe! Everyone was extremely friendly, the coffee was incredible, the Crêpes were delicious, the seating outside was so nice and peaceful, I could just go on and on. I think it's even more amazing that they make so many ingredients in house. There will be a line if you go on the weekend so be ready but the wait is 100% worth it!

Cute little walk up, lots of variety of sweet and savory crepes. We got both kinds and enjoyed them all. The kids loved the giant hot chocolate and I enjoyed my latte. Plenty of tables in the patio.

Cafe Crepe just became my new favorite place to grab a coffee and a sweet treat from in Big Bear. I visit the mountain a couple times a year and have driven by this cute little kiosk so many times but today I needed my coffee fix and felt like trying something new. After a quick yelp search, I could just tell by the photos that the coffee was going to be good and let me tell you - it tastes even better than it looks and it already looks super yummy! For drinks I ordered a hot pumpkin patch and for my mom a mocha. When I first received my drink I was shocked but so happy with how much whipped cream it came with as seen in the pictures below. Upon first sip I could immediately tell the whipped cream was freshly made to which I did confirm that is true from the staff. The coffee was the perfect strength and the flavor was not overly sweet... it was perfection! My mom also really enjoyed her mocha which she also agreed was not overbearingly sweet. For crepes we ordered the jammin with raspberry, the strawberry fields forever, and the deja vu. It's safe to say we all throughly enjoyed our crepes and I'd recommend choosing their house made chocolate sauce over Nutella any day! While normally I would choose a savory crepe, I was in the mood for something sweet so I can't wait to come back and try those as the options all seem delicious as well. I loved this cute little place, they even had seating behind the kiosk if you wanted to enjoy it there. Staff was friendly and efficient. Can't wait to come back!

Crepes, drinks, and service were amazing i can't wait to come back to big bear and get my morning coffee here. Ambiance is cute with lots of outdoor seating.

Their take on the london fog is so delish! I ordered the Big Bear Fog which is earl grey tea with lavender whipped cream. It was sweet, yet fragrant with the tea. The lavender cream complimented the earl grey really well. Service was friendly and efficient. There are cute benches and umbrellas behind the small crepe shop to enjoy your drinks & crepes! My bf got a chai latte which tasted exactly like the holidays and fall! Very yummy as well, do note that it is topped with almond whipped cream so if you have a nut allergy beware. Other than that, we are very satisfied with our drinks!

Café Crêpe was cozy!! Despite the outdoor only seating (in a cold city), this cafe was amazing. I'm still dreaming about the lavender whipped cream and the savory crepes. Everything was so good, we went 2 days in a row. It will definitely be on my list of places to visit everytime I go to Big Bear. Plenty of seating and even though it gets busy, the service is pretty upfront about wait time (20 min on a busy Sunday morning). Overall, worth the wait and the cold. The drinks and decor really make it cozy and delish.

Déjà Vu & Strawberry Fields Forever

Visiting for my honeymoon and wanted a place with yummy food and coffee and I must say this place is such a gem!!! The crepes were fresh and they did not hold back on the fruit and chocolate! And the signature lattes were absolutely delicious! Not to mention we brought our puppy and she LOVED their chicken and rice on the dog menu! The workers were super friendly and there is plenty of seating to wait for food which was fast!!! It's also a cute little shop that just feels cozy HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Oscar is the sweetest ! He made our trip to Big Bear more pleasant. And all our drinks were phenomenal. Matchas and coffee didn't disappoint We'll definitely look forward to coming back here.

Sierra fog with purple whip and ooh la latte

Got the sierra fog and ooh la latte and both were good. The creams are amazing but the coffee was a touch watered down could be the type of oat milk they use to be fair. Still would definitely recommend as the drinks were very fun and good. Went around 11 and the wait was super short

    Do they use seed oils?

We do not cook w/ any seed oils. The only items with seed oils are Nutella and the alternative milks (ie oat, almond and soy).

Is there indoor dining? If no, are there heat lamps outdoor?

No indoor dining, and when I was there in October, I didn't see any heaters outdoors, although they do have seating.

It appears tiny but they maximize space by utilizing the upstairs and every inch is decorated with rustic pieces and the smell of coffee and pastries fills the air. Lines can sometimes reach out the door because the coffee and food is good, but the service needs work. I waited for my one coffee (a vanilla latte) for close to 30 minutes. My food order was also incorrect, but that took even longer so I wasn't about to change it. The baristas and cashiers work hard, but I'm afraid they are greatly understaffed and it takes forever to get coffee or food. All the workers seemed very stressed out and it took away from the happy environment on the inside. Maybe I came on an off day, so I hope to try it again in the future with a better experience.

Our party had little ones that needs stroller and high chair and this place is definitely accessible and accommodating for all ages. They were even kind enough to notify us to go ahead and grab a dining table with our stroller as you have to place the order via a self serve tablet. They also serve alcoholic beverages! Basically after you order, they'll call your name with a Hawaiian groovy twist to it, and you grab your own utensils, napkins, and water on a separate area. And then off to enjoy your food. They have 3 different dining areas, out on the patio, inside dining with varying table sizes, chairs, and booth, and a backyard with a nice enclosed grassy area with standing tables only. Again, the vibes here are really great! So detailed and unique! So the food, we ordered the Cuba and the Krakatoa, both have white rice with tuna but different mixture of sauces. Both bowls were delicious and tuna was cut into little cubes and are fresh! We ordered the grilled teriyaki rice for the kids that came with a mayo dipping sauce and pickled pineapple with a bit of a kick. The teriyaki sauce and chicken was well cooked and the taste were delicious! Our kids devoured their plates. This was definitely a great spot for poke when you're in the Big Bear area! A few days before the event, I called to order an 8-inch cake and was originally told I could order one and when I called back to put the order in I was told they couldn't make one because they had already baked several 6-inch and 7-inch cakes and needed to sell those first. They suggested purchasing a 7-inch cake along with cupcakes to ensure there was enough for everyone, which seemed reasonable, so we went ahead with their recommendation. We requested pastel decorations and birthday writing for the occasion, paid in advance, and arranged for pickup around 3:00 p.m. on the day of our 4:00 p.m. party. Unfortunately, when my sister arrived around 3:30 p.m., the cake still wasn't ready, causing a significant delay. She eventually received the cake and cupcakes and rushed back to our cabin, arriving late to the surprise party. Shortly after she got back, the bakery called me and informed us that they had accidentally given her the wrong cake and asked us to return it. The cake she received was beautiful, decorated with flowers and a lavender drip design, but it was the wrong flavor and a smaller size than what we had ordered. We were then told that our actual cake was still at the bakery, but it was completely plain white, with none of the pastel decorations or writing we had requested. At that point, the party had already started, and instead of greeting family and friends who had traveled from Los Angeles for this special occasion, we were dealing with a very stressful cake situation. To their credit, the bakery was kind and tried to make things right. They allowed us to keep the cake we had received and delivered additional cupcakes to compensate for the smaller size. Most importantly, every single dessert was delicious. The cake was moist, the cupcakes were fantastic, and everyone enjoyed them. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of communication and apparent miscommunication among staff, which created a lot of unnecessary stress during a milestone celebration. The baked goods themselves were excellent, but I hope they can improve their organization and order management because the quality of their products truly deserves it.
