I bought some sour not chocolates and then grabbed my morning cafe. They didn't speak much English, but we were able to get by with little French and English. Coffee which was more double espresso was amazing! And wow! Gotta get the grapefruit juice freshly squeezed! Sooooooo good! One more thing! Great service!

We chose this place at random but we hit gold! The grandiose store front does leave an impression on you. The rich smell of roasting coffee beans is enough to wake anyone up. This place has an easy to understand setup. Long counter on the left for the cafe and a long counter on the right for the store. As we were not purchasing any beans to take home the store with it's seemingly endless selection of different coffee blends didn't get much attention from us. The wife ordered a coffee and I a hot chocolate. I don't remember seeing any tables, just one long counter that snaked it's way around the edge of the store with stool after stool lined up. The wife gave her cappuccino a 10 out of 10. This is coming from a woman who's highest score at any Australian cafe has been 3! She is absolutely the pickiest person when it comes to coffee. I've tasted very good hot chocolates, but this one... this one... I've never had my breath taken away by a hot chocolate before. It was so silky smooth and rich in chocolate taste that I was considering marrying it. The finest blend of chocolate and hot fresh milk. The waitress seemed very happy with our praise. The prices were reasonable and the service was fast. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

This charming little café caught our eye, and as soon as we sat down, the service was immediate. The gentleman who greeted us seemed pleasantly surprised that we were actually ready to order, as he mentioned that many visitors simply sit at the outdoor tables to rest, and he had to shoo them away. Fortunately, we knew exactly what we wanted: one espresso and one café crème. Both were excellent. They were beautifully balanced, with just the right combination of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, body, and aroma. It was one of those simple coffee breaks that ended up becoming a memorable part of our day. Tip for fellow travelers: customers are permitted to use the restroom inside if you purchase something. Since we stopped in only for coffee, I cannot comment on the food menu.

The exterior is so cute, and the menu is all written in chalk on big boards. My waitress was very kind and attentive - quick yet not rushed service. I got the pineapple juice, which came in a tropical, cone-shaped glass, the tartine quatres fromages which was huge and also had tomato sauce under the four melted cheeses. All delicious, but the best was the pear and chocolate tart I had for dessert - poire et chocolat. Magnifique!
