It is one of my top 5 restaurants I have eaten at in the entire world on my travels...its that good. The food is local with a french flare. Traditional foods made elegantly emphasizing fresh local foods. The beef tartare is unbelievable. The seafood fresh and delicious. Service was impeccable, and the staff treated us so great. No discrimination for being anglophone and they totally accomadate us for translating the menu. Outstanding service, our water was topped up at least 6 times as we were thirsty from our hike. Get the beef tartare. The table d'hote menu offers 4 courses for a reasonable price. It is well worth it. We wanted to book for lunch but they are not open on sundays... I'm planning to drive out from quebec city just to eat here again. This is a must go to if in this area. We drove 40 minutes from our hotel in sagunay. And it was well worth it. Unbelievable. My only complaint is that after weighing the ingredients a few items got dropped out of the saucepan. That defeats the purpose of carefully measuring everything, and it makes the customer feel like they got less than what they paid for. Otherwise fine.

Also, didn't realize until I sat down and was ready to order that they don't serve adult beverages just near-beer and mocktails so that was kind of a shock for a high end steakhouse. Our server did not speak English, nor did the menu have an English option, but it wasn't difficult at all to figure out what the options were or to ask help from my colleagues. Our server was even incredibly patient when I ordered on my own, in my very poor French. Outside of general experience, the food was fantastic! We had three starters, including some fall apart ribs that I dream about now. I ultimately ordered steak and frites, which was cooked to perfection. To top it off, the most perfect cracking crème brûlée. I understand why this place is popular, I definitely will be back when in town.
