Este año (octubre 2023), encargamos un pastel para 40 personas. Y nos entregaron un pastel casi del mismo tamaño que el de 20 personas pero a un costo mucho más superior. Tuvimos que servir rebanadas muy finas y aún así, muchos de los invitados (y el festejado) se quedaron sin comer pastel. Lo que no estuvo bien. Compartimos nuestro descontento con la repostería Ale Cornejo y su respuesta fue muy poco profesional. Es triste observar que con el tiempo, unos negocios prefieren obtener más ganancias y bajar su servicio. No volveremos a comprar ahí.

Along with his cousin, we came…read morethrough a bit early so we decided to go somewhere and get something to help cool us off this hot and humid day. Right across the street was this place, so we didn't have to trek too far. Tons of seating and tables available so we weren't worried about that. Hubbers went for a mango sorbet and I wanted to try something new so I went for the guanabana. While waiting, I told Hubbers the name sounds familiar. Then it dawned on me: it's the same moniker as the one we went to after bike riding a few days before. Good to know! They are popular. There were endless customers coming through mainly just to have something to help deal with the heat, and then on their merry way. We took our time since we weren't in a hurry. Loved my guanabana sorbet. It wasn't too sweet, it didn't melt fast and it was simply refreshing. It's probably the first time in a long time I finished a dessert all by myself. I got to try Hubbers' mango sorbet - a bit too sweet for me, but refreshing nonetheless. Keeping them on my radar should I need to cool off the next time I come through.

It was the PERFECT spot to cool off after an hour of bike riding throughout the city center…read more Hubbers' sibs got cold drinks, his nieces got ice cream floats, I just wanted really cold water as I felt so dehydrated. They're popular - most of the tables were occupied when we stopped by. Given the climate and heat and humidity, it totally made sense. The in-laws enjoyed their sweet and cold treats for sure. The staff were very nice not just to us but to all their guests, making sure everyone got what they needed. They also got everyone's goodies out fast, so the wait wasn't bad at all. Need a place to cool down? This is a good spot for it.

So, we walked over and found D&S! -There was live music--a great little two man band playing outside--and we quickly got seated. -I ordered the pina sorbet and it was a good amount, very light, and delicious pineapple flavor. -Service was great. The munu offers a huge selection of various dishes - I had the huevos mexicanos and my wife had huevos rancheros. Both of our dishes were good but the portions are on the smaller side so maybe order a bit more if you are really hungry. The service was very good with plenty of coffee refills. Recommended!
