I ate lunch here today and was not impressed. I ordered a burger. It was dropped on my table with no condiments like ketchup and mustard. It was slathered in horrible ranch like dressing on a stale brioche bun that fell apart. It arrived with raw meat even though I asked for medium. The waiter told me that is medium. The meat wasn't even warm. It was still rare on attempt number two. The meat tasted like it was previously frozen and was compressed and tough. It was way over salted. It was topped with nearly raw ham/bacon. The location is great as it's right across from the church. I loved the organic loose leafed tea. It would have been nice to be offered more hot water. read more

Cafe Soller is the place to go in Soller Centro if you are craving noodles or tapas. Run by a longtime resident German family, they have what is probably the largest tapas selection (if not especially creative) in the Soller valley. Warm or cold all the classics are available. The quality is generally good and you also can't go wrong really with any of the pasta dishes. I especially enjoy those with seafood. There is also an extensive wine list, covering all the Mallorquín and some mainland favorites at very modest markup over wine-shop prices. read more

I was in Soller on a Sunday morning, and not much was open except for Cafe Soller and a few other places on the square. They were all out of tortilla, so I had a vegetable omelette and a mixed veggie tapa. Things were bland, but nothing was disgusting. It was the kind of meal that made me reflect on how I only have a certain number of meals and calories left in my life, and I really don't want to waste them on such a so-so meal, especially when I'm in Mallorca.
