First off, I'm really glad to see a shop like this close to home since some other businesses are choosing not to sell firearms and ammunition. The outside of this shop is very misleading. Inside this is a first class store with a lot of nice long guns, hand guns, accessories, ammunition and knives. I was blown away when I walked in and the service here is helpful, friendly and quick. They do FFL transfers for all of a whopping $20.00 which is as good as it gets. They do sell suppressors and other high end items and can walk you through that permitting process. If your interested in a firearm for home protection, want to upgrade your current inventory or just need some ammo or accessories for your firearms, this place should be high up on your list to stop in and visit. Bought a Sig rifle here. Great customer service, good inventory, and if I still lived in Flint this would be my go to store!

I thought I found a new gun store to buy all my guns and ammo and just bought a new gun for my grandson after I realized I did spend $120.00 more then If I had bought from Lafayette shooters but the store was alot closer and easier to get in and out so I told my self it was still worth it and then last week I bought a recoil reduction pad for my savage 243 when they called I came to pick up but part said for mossberg or Winchester it don't fit and screw holes don't match so I asked for refund and was told it was special order so no refund. 1st off you ordered it and ordered it for wrong gun your mistake you should refund and order the right one I buy lots of ammo,3 guns a year, and am always doing modafications. And will not be going to cajun gun and gear again and will refer all I know to shooters after Lafayette. I hate people who rip me off even for only $30.00 read more

Everyone that I've encountered at this location are so nice and helpful. Recently I came in for shoes but was immediately distracted by the pink Yeti limited edition display. Drool. I seriously need all the pink Yeti stuff, right?! A girl working in the front felt my pain and we debated selling organs and shit to get all the pretty things. After the bonding fest I got serious and found some great shoes and a spiffy new LSU tee which were both on sale. The clearance section is always fun to look through and the dressing rooms are clean and organized at any given moment. If you need Louisiana girl gear, go to Academy!

I like going here for their affordable home stuff and jewelry needs but when I do I almost immediately want to stab myself in the face with fake flowers (thanks John). It always seems like every register is open and full every time I go in. I don't know if it's the time of day I'm shopping but it seems to be a universal trend. It's packed and chaotic and no one is in a hurry to help. It was such a pleasure learning about their shops history and family. This place really seems to be a staple in the community. I have never been to a better second hand shop. Because it's consignment everything is thoughtfully curated and priced. They offer a variety of brand names and designers. I have been wanting to redo my closet for a while with more of a capsule nature and this was the most perfect and affordable place to do so. The rack you see in my picture below was everything I had shopped before I tried things on. I left with about 3/4 of this rack.
