The bathroom is very clean and big enough for one person to shower while other brushes their teeth. The towels are a little rough; you may want to bring your own wash clothes. It is very convenient to attend the Rodeo, launch the boat, be at the marina, and walk to the motel. Surprisingly it is not noisy bc the window AC unit drowns the outside noise. I do not need my noise maker to sleep in this room. I would stay here again.

It's about 15 minutes from Grand Isle and is mostly used by the workers at the nearby plants. The lot is gravel and doesn't look like much but the staff is very friendly and there is a nice lounge area inside. Cheap $1 snacks. The rooms are quite small but very nice. If you're looking to go to grand isle but want a cheaper lodging and don't mind driving a few minutes to the beach, you'll love this place.

Our biggest complaint is that there was a domestic situation near our room, the neighboring room, where a lady was literally screaming curse words all night and my 4,9,10 year old could hear it all and kept waking up. She kept calling the boyfriend or partner a "N" word, which I have never heard someone scream at someone in my life and bothered me to hear. I was woken up to profound yelling /screaming at least 6 times from 11pm to 6 am. This is an older motel, pretty beat up and some cosmetic damage inside that is not pictured online. Personally, I don't care. The beds were fine, but if you aim for hotels 3-5 stars, just know this will be similar to a motel 8..There is a clutter appearance outside. My biggest concern was if that crazy lady who was in the neighboring room had a gun, she was so nuts acting, that we could get shot through the walls. I have never wondered that in my life before. This place would be fine for adults with low expectations , but be warned, the walls are paper thin especially for screaming neighbors. There was vomit on the way out from someone's dog. Again I am sorry to leave a bad review, but it is not family friendly. I do recommend the owner get rid of that lady because there is clearly domestic violence going on from her, and anyone who stays in the rooms beside them will be miserable unless they are in a coma when they sleep or deaf. The front desk marina were complete jerks and not very friendly. The outside porch lights didn't work either. The head board wasn't attached to the bed. The brochure said the suit was 2 separate bedrooms with 1 kitchen and a bathroom. It was 1 bedroom with 4 beds and a kitchen and bathroom together. The door opened outwards not inwards. The hot water heater was sitting behind the room not even connected to water or the power. ​​​

Michelle and Lany are amazing owners/on-site hosts. We live to fish and crab and on our first day Lany didn't just tell us where to go fishing. He actually took us on a tour of the island and nearby fishing spots and showed us what to use, time of day, tide, etc. He really knows his stuff, as evidenced by our freezer full of redfish and trout and a fridge full of blue claws! As for the park, we love it. Everything works as it should. It's a no-frills place (everything on GI is) and it creates a family atmosphere where everyone says hi and talks fishing. The filet station is key because we catch a keeper pretty much every day! Come here, slow down and forget about life for a while.

I was passing through Galliano on my way to Port Fourchon and had nowhere else to stay since all…read morethe other hotels were booked full of oil-spill-response personnel, so I ended up staying here for a night. I had read a terrifying review of the place somewhere else, so I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be a perfectly find motel. The staff were extremely friendly and the motel is brick-walled, so it's like an apartment building rather than the typical whitewashed motel. I recall a review somewhere else saying that there were scary people hanging out in the parking lot; when I arrived there were people in the parking lot but they were all people staying or working at the motel and were out having smoke breaks or calling people on the cellphone, so I don't see what the big deal is. The only thing to note is the motel is the building further in the lot, and NOT the house right next to the motel sign - walk in there by mistake and be prepared face the wrath of the old couple that lives there!!
