Wow!! Lots to say about cake. 1) The space is incredible. It's so beautifully placed, and they really nail the greenhouse feel. 2) The staff was efficient and served us excellently! We even were impressed by how quickly they were turning out customers. 3) The food is soooo good. They do have a really limited selection, but what they had rocked. My entire group ranked our food a 10/10! Also, it can be BYOB, so keep that in mind.

I love this place! I used to come here often about 10 years ago, and life got a bit busy so I wasn't able to come to Chestnut Hill much. I always loved the huge green house dining area, the service is always friendly and food always good. Their coffee is smooth, balanced and nice. I asked which blend they use and they told me, but I forgot the name but it is from a local roasters. This time we ordered breakfast burrito, garden frittata, and citrus tart. Was very very happy with everything.

If you're in town, you definitely have to stop by here! Located in a greenhouse exterior structure, this cafe offers good food, pastries and drinks! We stopped by for brunch on Sunday and luckily were able to snag a table. I got their salmon BLT, so good! Left full, otherwise would've definitely gotten a pastry to go.

A great but small dining space (i.e., what appears to be a repurposed greenhouse with high ceilings). The menu is on the simpler side, but the food is good, and the portions are fair to large. The staff are attentive, and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. The breakfast burrito was tasty, and the contrast in temperatures (between the burrito and the items that framed it) and textures (the burrito was softer with the eggs and beans, and the house salad was crisp and cool) was notable. While I didn't order anything from the baked goods display case, the offerings looked delicious. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait or plan show up prior to opening. If you do need to be placed on the wait list, there are plenty of things to do in the neighborhood, assuming they're open (I.e., on Sundays, Cake opens at 1000, but most stores open at 1100 or noon). We're looking forward to bringing visitors to Cake in the future.

The greenhouse is a beautiful setting for a breakfast or brunch. Food took a long time, but it was all delicious once it arrived. The frittata was outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive.

Cute spot with decently fast and friendly service. Love the ambient lighting and the greenhouse setting! My husband and I stopped in for Saturday lunch and were able to get a table within 20 minutes, which we spent perusing the bookstore around the corner. Once we sat down, we ordered a tuna sandwich with chips and a beet and citrus arugula salad with a side of grilled chicken. For the quality of the ingredients, portion size, and location, the price was reasonable. But the food itself was just fine. The tuna salad was a bit fishy, and otherwise pretty standard. The beet and citrus "salad" was more of a tower, and it tasted good but I wish they'd given more arugula. The grilled chicken had good flavor but was pretty dry. Still, overall, we enjoyed the meal and ended up finishing with a chocolate peanut butter tart, which was heavy, sweet, and satisfying.

Arrived for a Saturday lunch, we had just missed the breakfast menu which is what we were craving but the food was still very tasty. The place is adorable, very cute vibes with the restaurant being in a renovated greenhouse with lots of plants everywhere and great lighting. But the place was well conditioned, very comfortable temperature. The food was good. I went with a smoked salmon BLT, which was unique and tasted surprisingly good. I would rather try some other items on the menu. The quiche was the star of the show though. I have had quiches before that are overcooked and gross. This one was cooked to perfection . The egg was light and fluffy and the brie added extra richness and creaminess. The crust was not soggy but firm to bite.

Tip: This place does not take reservation, only walk-in waitlist. We waited about an hour to get a table of four people for our Sunday brunch. So be aware of a long waiting time or get there early. The dining area is much smaller than we expected. People were really nice. Food portion is definitely worth the price! Their Ribeye steak & egg was our fav dish among the four dishes we ordered (breakfast plate, breakfast burrito, French toast). Another thing I really liked from here was their scramble eggs w/ cheese! Burrito was huge but the overall flavor of it was okay. French toast was soft but the portions of cream & berries were very small (mostly just bread & maple syrup). The downside about here were limited options of sweet brunch dishes (only French toast & Belgium waffle) and they only have plain/black coffee option.

Came here with my friend for lunch and it was lovely! Very beautiful atmosphere with lots of plants. Our server was nice and checked on us periodically, which we appreciated

I got the egg tart on recommendation as well as a cheese pastry, pandan cake and red bean moon cake and everything was delicious! The cheese pastry had the softest exterior with a warm cheese filling that was savory but light at the same time. The moon cake was very rich and perfect for sharing! The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. It's a smaller but very cozy and homey interior with two tables for sitting down to enjoy your coffee and pastries. It's also cash only or Venmo, so keep that in mind if you never carry cash! I look forward to visiting again and trying more items!

Any true French bakery would not put the name "Napoleon" on a 2 small overdone pastry in the shape of a heart with small amount of cream in the middle. Nothing like the napoleon which my friend is and always has been a French classic. A three layered pastry fluffy with silky cream between each layer with a beautiful fondant icing which they called Mille - feuille. No it is not an Italian version it is French through and through. While as a French bakery you can make those cutesy heart pastry puffs please do not insult the french baker by calling it a napoleon. I unfortunately made the very foolish mistake of ordering this heart puff napoleon over the phone- thinking I would be getting , yes, you guessed it a napoleon.
